Did not realize they are a ranked team (#25) at this point. They are on right now against VCU on ACC. Dynamic offense early in the season.

I'm not sure the SHU fans are aware that the game will be played on Monday at 2:30 in the afternoon. Unusual 9:30AM start out there. I believe that info is correct. Will be tough for The Hall fans to view midday on a Monday?? It will be the first real test for Sha's new roster.

It is an espn/espn2 game, imagine team leaves Thursday for hawaii

Interesting. 9:30am local start time is rough. Leaves a lot of time for partying afterwards.

Going to be a tough game. NC St shoots load of 3s with several guys capable of hitting them. They like to run & crash the boards - could be ugly.

Williams and Holloway are going to be a load. VCU played well but took 42 3s and made enough (13) to stay in the game. NC State was 8/21 From 3. State is fast, mixes defenses, pressures the perimeter. Out rebounded VCU 45-31. Only 11 assists on 25 FGs. Hopefully Clark doesn’t get swallowed up by the bigger State guards and we’re going to have to hit some 3s.

They shoot a ton of 3s and make a ton of the threes. One of the best in the country at that. Defending 3s is our biggest weakness.

Let’s hope Shaheen makes this a point of emphasis in practice.

It is a made for TV tournament with four games each day. ESPN doesn't really want to start the last game later than 11:30 PM or Midnight ET.

We will be playing at either 2:30 or 5 PM ET on Tuesday depending on the outcome of Monday's game. Lose and we play early, win and we tip at 5.

The last time we were there in 2001 we had the early start time for our second game which was against Chaminade.

Yet VCU got 11 offensive rebounds, one of Seton Hall's strengths.

vcu also picked nc st pocket late a few times. and vcu shot very poorly from 3 in the late few minutes. nc st didnt blow me away, but who knows what we can do till we play someone. if we were efficiently feeding the post i would feel better. thought nc st post d not so great.

Mindless dribble handoffs going nowhere won't cut it against NC state. We need Clark to penetrate and draw defenses and kick out to find shooters. We need intentional consistent feeding the post to our big men in order to have a chance here.

If we struggled to do that consistently against horrible competition, I'll be surprised if we can do it against them. But here's hoping.

The season is young and I think we have upside with a capable pg, capable big men on offense and defense, and some emerging scorers. Lets goo

When budd is out i get worried. We dont have a backup pg. Hes gotta become a 32-35 mpg player unfortunately

Is a good test and step up. I hope we get hot from 3 like VCU last year.

Fanta alluded to some ill will between Sha and Wade from the Hines recruitment. we also picked up Parker from them, FWIW.

I fear they’ll assault us from 3.

the backups have gotten more time than most have wanted and i feel more comfortable now than i did earlier. but yes, a big ? for us

Watching BYU at UConn and some other teams it appears to be a huge talent gap with SHU. Of course there is, but do we have any talent anywhere near those teams? NC State looks like it may have a couple. I guess the point is that we need to see the SHU players face to face and then we can evaluate what we really have. Also, which player will elevate as The Hall's impact player. Maybe the parts will add up to success??

Back then it was basically a high school gym with no AC. You probably recall seeing large fans in the corners beyond the end lines. I know they've done some renovations over the years and I think an AC unit was one addition.

All bleachers and everybody is on top of one another and pretty loud.

It was a treat getting to see Duke and Kansas because that meant a full gym. The Chaminade game was less full -- maybe not surprising given it a morning local time tip.
