it's a consequence of the performance and his lockout mentality from past seasons.Nice to see Sha's personality on display with the kids. Not nice that there were a lot of crickets when he asked who had their Season Tickets.
those aren't the only mistakes he's doubled down on. much of the offense and always trying to make a non PG work at PGThe insane part about all of this is that Sha was with KW when KW made all those mistakes at SHU and then Sha came in and doubled down on all of them
You create a false dichotomy: it doesn't have to be either blowing smoke or "tough love." A coach could also teach you how to become a better player and teammate without ranting-and-raving like a lunatic... It's called, you know, coaching...Me personally, I would have loved to play for a coach like that if I had the talent. Don't tell me what I want to hear, tell me what I need to do to become a better player and teammate.
Sha is a tough love kind of coach. He really cares about the players but once between the lines he demands the same dedication from them that he had as a player. That's not for everybody, but those that come here should know what they are getting into.

I realize these "In the Huddle" sequences during games mean nothing but I am often struck by the difference in the messaging and the way messages are delivered between Sha and opposing coaches. You create a false dichotomy: it doesn't have to be either blowing smoke or "tough love." It didn’t help that almost all of those huddles were during segments where his team played like garbage leading into the time outI realize these "In the Huddle" sequences during games mean nothing but I am often struck by the difference in the messaging and the way messages are delivered between Sha and opposing coaches.
This is true.It didn’t help that almost all of those huddles were during segments where his team played like garbage leading into the time out
this year seems like he's turned a corner. i think it's pretty clear harmon was more than a wing and a prayer.I might push back a little on that. He had Richmond for 2 years and last season he had Dual (injured all year) and Harmon (who did have mental issues coming here) at the point.
This year he has Clark and probably Parker, both underclass at the point.
