It makes plenty of sense, but that doesn't mean Saban didn't hire an ex-coach to give him an edge against the bears--that question was asked long before this game.

I freely admit I'm not an Alabama fan, and even more so not a Saban fan. What a lot of people don't seem to realize is that until someone knocks UA off it's throne, they will continue to steal whatever Mississippi recruits they want. They have better facilities, assistants, etc and their fan base believes the NC is exclusively theirs. Some deranged fan poisons the trees at Auburn after bama gets beat and has the stones to mock JFF in a tweet after AU beats him. A bama fan teabags a comatose LSU student, the most favorable refs calls, ect, etc.
And Saban is just as bad. Anything for an edge--whatever it takes. Pull an offer on NSD as the kid is on the stage about to announce to his signing with bama because a higher rated recruit suddenly flips, stepping over a player convulsing on the field like he's not even there, telling injured players to quit the program to make room for more scollys--players injured giving their all for UA, hiring "coaches" in strategically placed big cities to basically be full time local recruiters, etc, etc.
I can't believe anyone supports that POS program. You gotta know he's going to raid Mississippi talent anytime he wants. We won't get enough oxygen to "get to the next level." Until the playing field is leveled--and the boosters will see it never is-- there will never be anything like parity in college football.
Why can't they just play the 17ing game? This was just the final straw for me. Just because it was the bears doesn't really make it any better. I hope Oregon beats the **** out of them.
