Trump accepts $400M jet "gift" from Quatar a week after announcing $5B golf resort plan. Just blatant corruption wow.

The other thing is why would Trump even trust this "gift". This is exactly how Qataris curry favor with other countries. They don't do this out of the goodness of their hearts.

Sounds like the plane is going to cost the American taxpayers almost one billion to upfit for Trump to use about one year in office, then it’ll go to his President Library for use. Obviously I don’t know what the last part means in the future but hard to imagine anything other than us paying one billion for his new private jet.

Do any MAGA expect differently?

Not a MAGA (whatever that is) but from my perspective, we're $37trillion in debt, cutting growth in Medicaid, reducing the federal workforce (overdue IMO), and making substantial other cuts in federal spending. It's probably not good optics or sound decision to spend $1billion on a plane if the "old one" is still functioning OK. To be fair, the current one really is the "old"one and should be replaced. But aren't we still under contract with Boeing for a replacement?

We are. And I think my biggest issue is that it won’t stay with the office of the presidency, personally. One billion dollars is insane.
