Assuming this would be a Hines replacement, doubt we can afford both. Unless we would keep Hines and this kid would takeover Payne pay.

St John’s will have assistants on hand to see Hines tonight.
lol for 2 years from now? Like SJU can’t afford a big better than Hines. They will be ok without him, let him develop somewhere else and when he’s at his peak they’ll pay for him. You dont pay big for potential, you pay to win now. Right now he’s just got potential.

Need to give Hines what he’s worth and asks for. The offense can run through him. They triple team him in the post and he makes the pass to wide open shooters for 3. The kid just makes the right plays. He’s a special player and need to build around him. BEPOTY type as long as the coach gets out of his way and lets him run 30 mins a game instead of having him tied to the bench like this season.

Micah Gordon from Plainfield looks like a stud. I know we offered him, I wonder if there’s a legit chance of him coming here.

How does a hs player commit this early these days. Is he offered market price today if the market for him can change in another 6-12 months?

A commitment means nothing, even a signed one.

I know but with NIL how does it work that early?
Means nothing. You can ask or offer an amount and both parties can change their minds, etc. Revenue share and NIL are license agreements not agreements to exclusively play for a particular school.
