So, so true.Urban: "There is no one other person who is doing what he is doing at Rutgers."

To be fair, he said "in the country."Urban: "There is no one other person who is doing what he is doing at Rutgers."

Fixed. Don't tell @ashokan that Greg is running an offense with creative plays!!!To be fair, he said "in the country."
Maybe we missed out not working Ash's Scandinavian pipeline for coaches?
He shouldn't have to ask at this point.Hope Flaherty kept a copy for when he asks for a raise.

ExactlyI like the focus on Asamoah's contribution on that play. Too often the O-linemen only get noticed when they get beat by a pass rusher or flagged for a penalty.
Of course, that was also a strong effort by Ian.![]()
Well urban also said ash was good β¦.But our anti-Greg "fans" know better than Urban Meyer lol
Michigan knew the play before it happened. It doesn't matter how well you run the play, if the other team knows it, they have as much chance to beat you to the spot to disrupt it. It was sign stealing.Urban was really talking execution - specifically OL - more than play design.
The part about "trusting" Kirk was a little saccharin since the play wasn't the problem vs Michigan - it was the weak receiving typical of last year - the most improved position this year so no need for Greg to panic

Maybe just maybe, those PFF scores are not as far off as some may think!Urban was really talking execution - specifically OL - more than play design.
Flats just signed an extension at RU, with a raiseHope Flaherty kept a copy for when he asks for a raise.
Cheaters gonna cheat. I'm telling you - Michigan is still crazy talented, but they wouldn't have lost to the Longhorns the way they did had Connor still been shipping kids with cameras to Austin.Michigan knew the play before it happened. Flaherty got a raise and has been signed through 2025. Heβs good to go for another season. He shouldn't have to ask at this point.
Schiano should be leading charge on that.
I would miss Flaherty more than KC and its not even close

Urban: "There is no other person in the country who can do what he is doing at Rutgers. He's doing great stuff."
I think urban himself could have done it. Probably nick as well.
Amen.
You just named two exceptional players. Most receivers don't have the ability to make contested catches most of the time.We both know Travis Hunter would have caught (and kept) that ball.
Sanu would have done the same.
They win contested catches.
Fact is RU's 2023 receivers were awful at anything resembling a contested ball.
In that part of the field you have to expect contact and strip attempts.
But RU receivers were usually like pool noodles (Washington made a few good plays)
The receiver had the ball hit him in upper body and should have caught it but Michigan DB wanted the ball more. It was half INT and half strip. For whatever reason RU WR had his hand on his own facemask screening him - turkey time lol.
"Wimsatt said he saw his receiver open βbut the defender made a great play on the ball, and it turned into six (points). It was a big change in the game...He and Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano were disappointed Sainristil wasnβt tackled before he reached the end zone, though Schiano knew the fifth-year defensive back was a key piece of Michiganβs No. 1-ranked defense."

I don't factually know if UM knew what play was being called or not. But it sure as **** looked a whole lot like they knew what play was being called.Michigan knew the play before it happened. The 2023 RU receivers were subpar, and the QB was too. Even if you change one of the participants on offense in that play, it will likely fail because UM knew the play was coming.
It appears to hit the receiver in the chest, but it was really a 50/50 at best for the receiver. Like I said, '23 receivers for RU just weren't capable of winning 50/50 ball most times.
I see you didn't mention that fact UM knew the play was coming. Instead, you changed the goal line by talking about the quality of receivers Rutgers lacks.
Anecdotal at best, but this play was featured on the Netflix sign stealing documentary. One would think that Stallions gave them some good examples of plays he helped blow up.I don't factually know if UM knew what play was being called or not. Lot of scumbags in this country for sure.Cheaters gonna cheat. I'm telling you - Michigan is still crazy talented, but they wouldn't have lost to the Longhorns the way they did had Connor still been shipping kids with cameras to Austin.
Iβm not sure that is an entirely positive comment but no need to split boliβsUrban: "There is no other person in the country who can do what he is doing at Rutgers. He's doing great stuff."

And is less likely (so far) to throw it to the other team.Would have been cool if Urban took a shot at That Team Up North as maybe KNEW what play was coming.. wink-wink.. BTW.. I called for a screen as they came out onto the field there. Family looked at me like Nostradamus... it ain't brain surgery.. VTech sold out against the run the whole game. And we have a QB who can deliver that pass quickly with a shorter throwing motion.
Cmon.. Wimsatt was on target.. he just has a long wind up and that allowed Michigan to jump on it and deflect the pass into an INT. It also looked like Michigan knew that play was coming. And is less likely (so far) to throw it to the other team.
They defended that play as if they'd been sitting in RU meetings all week. VT was actually caught in the wrong defense.Cmon..
