Pride in the program has been restored. Last night was more than just playing the no. 4 team in the country tough. It re-established the credibility and pride long associated with the Rutgers football program and changed the narrative. Hopefully , we can put the suspensions , arrests , etc behind us and now look forward each week with optimism and reasonable belief that Rutgers is on the verge of establishing itself as a program to be reckoned with by the elite teams. Based on last night's performance, we're not that far away. Perhaps we can now think about football and not what negative media story will next appear in the Star Ledger or on ESPN. The players , coaches and team never gave up --unfortunately some of the fan base may have. This team has heart and talent and deserves our total support . Kudos to the coaching staff for keeping everything together during September's swirl. And kudos to the players for showing the naysayers how wrong they were
