We need $7M in NIL to turn this around Next Year

This year is shot and we will likely wind up with fewer than 15 Wins. Have to provide the support so we can Win next year.

$7K per fan x 1000 fans gets it done. Football has raised around $9M, which gives me hope. $7M in NIL + $3M in Revshare = $10M Total.

we can’t afford to spend less on NIL than Seton Hall. $10M in support gets us to competitive.

Easier said than done are you prepared to give 7000 plus your costs for season tickets

I donate to NiL myself just saying MOST of these schools with large funds have a couple enormous donors or corporate entities not a collection of regular fans funding it year after year

Yes, I’m prepared to do so, as long as others are willing to do same.

imagine burning your hard earned money to bring in a 19 year old kid who doesn't give a fu*k about Rutgers and most likely his education either, and then watch him leave a year later, and most likely checks out halfway through the season when already inked a new scam deal with another school.

how about you guys just shoot that cash over to me my bitcoin 90854di32014h108a43lw901 instead of making another bonfire?

Individuals can no longer provide NIL.

Doubtful we get this kind of money. However, no one in their right mind is going to give it with the thought of Pike being here. He’s already proven he’s in way over his head. It’s like throwing money down the toilet. We have to get a coach to give the program hope first. There are two major problems here, the coach and NIL. However, many are looking at the priority backwards.

Such a catch 22. To get a new coach worth a darn we need NIL, but Pike is a living campaign on why not to donate, especially a whale, and don’t let Al fool you. Whales are NEEDED.

Yup. They tried the small donor route and it’ll never be able to compete against people who have millions to billions to throw at whatever they want.

7000 giving 1000. Hahahaha. There’s not even 7000 who go to the games never mind having each and every one of them, kids included, give up $135 a week to see Pike make errors over and over with recruiting.
Get it right. It’s 1,000 giving 7,000, which we have. They just need to be motivated enough to pony up.

We’ve been waiting for whales to show up for the last 156 years. It has t worked out, so everyone who cares has to do their share. Or watch basketball die on the vine. 🪦

Pike started to lose before NIL. His recruits were no longer diamonds in the rough like Baker, McConnell, Ron Harper, and Myles Johnson. There were many more Reibers, Woolfolks, and Simpsons.
Because we failed to keep players who were key contributors, losing Jacob Young, Cam Spencer, Cliff, and then Lathan in consecutive years. Before the big two came in, we lost Simpson, Cliff, and Mag, which was particularly atrocious.

Sorry, but my $135 per week every week math is right. So you want 15% of all in attendance, children included, to give $135 week. Tell me you’ve got money to burn without telling me. Geez!

You said Cliff twice. Lathan wasn’t much of a loss. Young and Spencer didn’t leave because of money.

How many of posts you going to make about the same point? After every single game? Enough already.

and we can have a $30M roster and still
Not be good until we have a coaching staff that implements a reasonable D1 level offense and not this 1-1 dribble dribble hero ball shot offense we’ve seen for a decade.

The people giving this aren’t giving 135 a week. They’re likely selling $7K worth of stock, and taking a tax deduction.

The root cause of our lack of success is our lack of support. The biggest issue is the lack of talent.

Knowing Pikiell and staff they’ll probably just piss the money away like they have already spending it on a Euro scrub and a beanpole center.

Better off just giving the money to football. At least with football, real evaluations are being done.

As a former trader, you learn quickly to not throw good money after bad. I'd donate to a fresh start with a new up and coming coach. Pike is a great guy and brought us to respectability, but his time is up. Pike and his staff will not inspire many fans to donate. Maybe Keli will bring in some corporate money. It only will delay the inevitable.

They took these risks only because we lacked NIL.

All Pike had to do last year was get one decent player to play with Ace and Dylan and we would have been dancing and probably singing a different tune. Instead, our best player after those two was Jeremiah Williams who doesn’t even play that much for a medicore Georgetown team in about his 7th season.

Troy Aikman gave a million for a kid at UCLA and he left the following year and he said he is never giving any more money again!!!

No up and coming coach is coming to a situation that lacks money. It’s literally the first question they will ask, “How much NIL do you have”. Prospective candidates will also see how you’ve supported the previous coach. A lack of support is a huge red flag.

Look at how much trouble we have trying to hire a defensive coordinator in football. It’s because this situation is viewed as adverse, because there isn’t enough financial support to succeed, especially when you compare with peers.

we must do our best to properly support this coach and if he still can’t get the job done, THEN you pull the plug.

It’s not enough to get one kid. You need a supporting cast around him, otherwise what’s the point? Pretty sure the kid is Donte Moore, who transferred to Oregon, and who could blame him. He spent a year getting beat up at UCLA. Now he is on track to be a high draft pick because he has a supporting cast.

we have supporting cast players. Now we need an alpha male to come in and be “The Man”.

Dude, you are completely off base on why Schiano is taking so long to hire a DC. Geez, where have you been the last two years?

Al - cut the BS out already!! Individuals cannot contribute to NIL other than to help fund Rutgers (athletic excellence fund) operating expense. They are still liable to pay out the funds (unless they choose otherwise)

it’s all about corporate money for NIL at this point. Fans still need to donate to help the department out and fund capital expenses which are still needed.

Oh yeah…this coaching staff isn’t going to get it done even if you gave them the top 5 NBA draft picks. Nothing has changed in their philosophy and the accountability issue remains as Spencer talked about
