West Virginia Award Winners for the TCU Game


MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (October 23, 2016) – The West Virginia University football coaching staff has named its award winners for outstanding performances in the Mountaineers 34-10 win over TCU at Milan Puskar Center on Saturday, Oct. 22.


Offensive Champion – Tyler Orlosky; Defensive Champion – Noble Nwachukwu; Special Teams Champion – Shane Commodore; Offensive Scout Champion – Brady Watson; Defensive Scout Champion – Sean Mahone.


The No. 10/9 Mountaineers travel to Stillwater, Oklahoma, to face Oklahoma State on Saturday, October 29, at noon, ET. The game will be televised on FOX.

Tickets remain for West Virginia’s home games with Kansas (Nov. 5), Oklahoma (Nov. 19) and Baylor (Dec. 3). A new mini-package, the HailWV mini-package, is now available that includes those final three home games for $175, a savings of $25.

Someone earlier mentioned that they saw some new stickers on helmets. Have we gone back to that "old school" recognition or not? I always thought it was a bit divisive among the team especially when you want a "team" vs. individual stand-outs.
