This whole start is BS. First ESPN keeps showing a 14 point game with less than a minute to go that is unnecessarily dragged out by fouls. Then officials miss a walk, a "charge" inside the restricted zone, call a block a goal tend. Combine that with WVU just missing open shots and this whole start is just ugly. Can't afford to drop games like this, so keeping it close only favors them in their house.
Muraca. Give it a rest. We know you think McBride is garbage. You accuse Huggins of bias, yet you show your bias. We can nitpick every mistake McCabe, Haley and Knapper make just as you do with McBride. Despite his flaws, McBride has played better the last 10 games than our alternatives.
KSU player just gets to hooks our guy on a drive and nothing. A slight bump by WVU on defense and it's a foul. This game is officiated like shite.
This looks bad. We can't hit open shots. Officials are calling it favorably to KSU. KSU is knocking down their shots. Unless there is a big turn around, we are about to piss away a golden opportunity to come out ahead of a very winnable game.
This is the formula to an early tourney loss. Hope they learn the valuable lesson that they aren’t talented enough to win without effort.
We are playing like last years team right now. It’s very difficult to watch. I doubt we make adjustments in the half. We’re making way too many mistakes. No energy
Now that he has destroyed our offense again this is what will happen every single time we're not allowed to even play defense. The refs shouldn't be the ones making a statement in the first 3 minutes of a game. It has to be a concern come tourney time, those early rounds officials LOVE to dominate games and get on TV
Kansas, Baylor and WVU playing down to the competition today.

2. Everything Kansas State throws up goes in. Won't happen in 2nd half.
3. Refs calling touch fouls. Not good for Pitbull Defense.
4. WVU not rebounding well. That has to change in 2nd half.
5. After everything went right for WVU in last game, the worm has turned. Now let's see how Huggins Heroes handle this in the 2nd half.
6. Down 17. It's a setup for the biggest comeback of the season for WVU.

Hard to go inside when your big man is getting his hands taped behind his back and the guards are getting tackled and called a steal.
Maybe if we had a decent shooting team, we wouldn’t have to worry about the refs controlling the game with low post game.
This is by far our biggest missed opportunity. 5 minutes into 2nd half and the writing is on the wall. Inexcusable to not at least be in position to win a game against the bottom of the conference.
But that’s not WVU basketball. We’re gritty, hard-nosed, blue collar teams...because WVians “love” teams that compensate for their lack of skill with “tough” play. Duke and KU and UK and Nova and UNC and MSU can keep their fancy schmancy AAU players with that over-flashy dribbling and pansy-*** three point shooting and the Final Fours. We at West Virginia will stick with our brick layers and stone handed dribblers. They will at least dive on the floor. That’s what basketball is really about. Not dribbling, shooting, passing. It’s all fouling with aggressive defense.
Unfortunately, this team needs this loss. People love on McBride and he is our best shooter. However, our offense sucks. And today, our defense sucks. Hopefully, they realize that they won't go far if they don't play hard. Right now, this team isn't even a Sweet 16 team.
There is plenty of season left to get something going. Hopefully, this game gets them to see that.

Impressive that they've managed to come back and make it competitive. Still far too ugly 25 minutes of basketball to start if we want to compete for the league.
Getting killed by a team with a losing record and we're on this board complaing about the officials.
