Getting a highly rated QB who has solid connections to other recruits is very important, so chances are good that the 4 star recruit can convince a few others to come with him. Obviously, it's all about relationships, and based on what I read, it appears there may very well be a couple solid dominoes to follow. As for his play on the field, that's yet to be determined, but it's typically a crap shoot when it comes to any type of recruits. Knowing Michigan's recruiting situation very well, I can tell you they've had many 4 star QBs commit, and even a couple 5 star QBs commit. Most were serviceable, but truly never panned out as one of the tops in the country. Same is true with other positions. At some point, coaches have to step up and turn recruits into players, and put them in the right spots to be successful. I know it's always exciting to get a top notch recruit, especially at a need position, as well as when you don't see too many 4/5 star recruits committing to your school. So, there's nothing wrong with being excited, and all comments in regard to the player being a future star or a potential bum are all speculation at this point, so be patient, and allow it to play itself out.

To a large percentage of the fanbase, the wins and losses fall on the quarterback. If only this kid had more Pat White or Major Harris in him we'd be on the path back to glory. That's why the "best" player on the team in some people's eyes is the backup QB. When the starter has lost to Oklahoma for the umpteenth time, it's time to bring in the backup. All because he brings hope. That's what the Greene kid brings when Doege has a bad game - hope!
But most importantly, WVU isn't going to be able to recruit with the UT's and Oklahoma's. However, if they can get a few stars here and there, with the experience to back it up, then maybe there will be something to really get excited about.

I thought it was twice in a season. Regular season then the Gator Bowl. In what was a rematch from an earlier regular season game that the Terrapins won 34–7, the result was even more lopsided as Maryland won 41–7 in Gator Bowl.

When are we going to start recruiting running QBs again? Pro style is not suited for the average to below average o-lines WVU usually fields. WVU has had it's greatest successes with running QBs.
This cat can run as well. Being mobile and pro style is a huge plus. WVU is not Navy, Ga. Tech or Georgia Southern who all run option football.
