Both of mine are from 2001. That fall was my last semester of college so I decided to go to as many games as possible (ended up going to 10). We were supposed to be good and as I said - it was my last semester. I was taking 12 hours too so I had some free time.

Florida - we park for $20. Go to a tailgate with my friend's family. Head to the game. Make a decision to leave early in the 2nd quarter and we were going to drive back to the MS Gulf Coast to spend the night with friend's family and go to the casino. Our car was blocked in with no way of getting out. We then proceed to sit in a bar from 2 PM to 1 AM. That was the worst drive home ever.

Auburn - decide to drive home after the game. That was an 8 PM kick. I think I almost killed our group about 3 times falling asleep while driving.

2007 Arkansas in Little Rock almost made the list. That is the worst stadium I've ever been in and games in Little Rock bring out the worst Arkansas fans.

1997 at UGA. 47-0 thrashing.

2002 at Oregon. It was a fun trip to take but to hear your Qb isn't playing as soon as you get to Eugene....priceless

War memorial is the worst place for many reasons of which you named. My last trip I remember Dixon made a long TD run. Our band started playing and next section of Arkansas fans started throwing things into the band.

2004 - we drove up from the Pine Belt for a game, our car broke down around Brooksville. It was something engine related so we weren’t gonna be able to get back on the road in that vehicle on that day. Sat on the side of the road for 2 hours, had to get a tow truck to take us to GTR so that we could rent a car. Drove the rental to the stadium and walked in right at kick off…. We then proceeded to lose to Maine.

The Auburn game Cadillac had 4 TDs by half. That game sucked. Attempting to forget the game the rest of the day was great though.

Ruston ‘08. And I was the DD after the game. I saw friends of mine hit new lows. The LSU game was the next week. Everyone at the bar post game enjoyed reminding us what was coming. The only enjoyable moment was watching some girl dance at that bar. She moved in ways we still talk about.

For me it's 2002 Oregon. Awesome trip outside of the game, but the game was miserable. We heard I think the morning of the game that our QB wasn't playing due to taking tires from a booster.

At UK with Moorhead was another. Just miserable weather and an offense that couldn't move the ball. And the UK fans aren't at all what I imagined. They were much more Nascar than Churchill Downs.

Also, any trip to Alabama. The worst fans. Have been I think four times and will not go back. Give me LSU fans over them any day.

I was at crooms last egg bowl. 52-3 I think and one of the worst injuries I have ever seen with my eyes when Brandon Mcrae broke his leg.

Tennessee - 2003 or 2004, can't remember. Sitting in the student section and hearing rocky top for 50+ points...
Mississippi - feed moncreif year

I can't say any trip to LSU or UGA regardless of outcome because the trip itself is always fun.

I went to that Flarda game too, their fans were waving goodbye to us at us at the end of the 1st Q (21-0) and we too left at halftime (38-0). Rex Grossman ended up throwing for 400 yds and barely played 2nd half and it ended 52-0.

We got out of Gainsville no problem and headed North. We started hearing the pregame radio show for Florida State who was playing Wake Forest at 6:00 that night. We said what the hell and got off in Tallahassee and found tickets in the parking lot and saw a real game that night, Seminoles won it 48-24. Left there and drove a little while and got a cheap motel in a hole in the wall along the interstate and drove back to Jackson next day.

Close to that day would have to be Liberty Bowl against Air Force and and Cotton against Ricky Williams and Longhorns.

Liberty Bowl under Jackie back in the 90’s. Lost to Air Force and froze my butt off in the process.
Haven't been to a whole lot of road games, but that was easily the worst. Best was the year Matt Wyatt came in and led us to a 4th quarter comeback win at Auburn.

2003 made the trip up to Knoxville as well to see us do a fake extra point down by 40 or so.

But the one that really made me question my life decisions was not so much a road trip but flying across the country to come back to Starkville and watch the 2008 Auburn fiasco. Hence the name.

Got a feeling this one is going to make a lot of people's list. In addition to the score, we broke down on the way home. I still remember that '393' up there on the scoreboard under passing yards.....at halftime like you say. As Saban said, they ran through our asss like shlt through a tin horn. The Arizona Western DL was on full display.

Honorable mention to 2019 Tennessee. Had never been to Neyland before and Tennessee was like 1-4 or 1-5, felt confident we were winning. Thanks Joe Moorhead. Was 100% done with him from that day on.
This is another one that sucked, game-wise. I think even the sheep lost hope after this game. The trip itself was fine.

2013 Auburn sucked for me personally. I really thought we were going to win that one beforehand. And we were winning all game, and they walked down the field with under 2 minutes left to beat us. Good thing was, I left as soon as they got the ball back and I beat all the traffic.

Pretty much every road game in 2001 was brutal. I think we lost 5 games by a total of approximately 13 points. Too lazy to look it up but the Florida game was terrible. 52-0 and the stadium was HOT! Spurrier got his revenge for 2000.

1994 at LSU. The downpour started within 30 seconds of us sitting down in the stadium. Then the Fighting Hallmans and their best friends in black and white stripes took over from there.

I have two, JWS verus Billy Brewer in Oxford, 1st and ten inside the 10 and we had about 8 tries and felled to score!

And the game in Athens with JWS, they killed us 45-0.

Two bad loses!

'92 Oxford egg bowl. Snowed. Froze our asses off. 4 tries at the 17n goal line. Jesus H Christ.
This was mine too without a doubt, horrible game and freezing. We had to stop to get gas in Pontotoc on the way home and the pumps were half frozen, had to sit there forever.

2007 at West Virginia. I was living up north at the time and made the 7 hour drive from NYC. I had a ticket in the thick of the WVU side where everyone was standing up. It was 28-0 by the end of the 1st, I legit don't remember the final score.

I also didn't have hotel money, so I slept in the rental car in the Morgantown Walmart parking lot, where it was maybe 40 degrees. I would wake up cold, run the engine long enough to warm up, turn it off and go back to sleep, rinse and repeat.

22 year old me made some interesting decisions. If I was smarter I would have spent more time in the Morgantown bars trying to make a friend with a bed to sleep in.

October 1992.
The maroon and white travelled to an SEC newcomer in Columbia, South Carolina. Our boys waltzed into Williams Bryce stadium with an undefeated record, expecting to tee off on a winless bunch of limp cocks to begin an early argument for a New Year’s Day bowl.

Nice stadium. Polite fans.

It was unfuckingbelievable. MSU’s defense was baffled and outsmarted all day by the dreaded and often tricky… delayed draw to the RB straight up the middle. State got embarrassed by a team championing the longest losing streak in all the land. Dawgs took their 21-6 cock-spurring like a champ.

From that day forward, I have never, ever ruled out the possibility that MSU can bust a slump for anyone, anytime.

This one was a W but 2014 (I think- Dak was QB) at South Alabama in Mobile. Dump of a stadium and they didn't even have anyone in the concession stands when they opened the gates. Walk in and there's no cold liquid of any kind. It's hot as hell and half of Georgia that day. Then they run out of water before halftime and you can see over the wall where we were sitting and there are pallets and pallets and more pallets of bottled water outside the stadium ground level. Also, you gave the locals a good tip when you paid to park in their yard - - in hopes they would not break into your vehicle. I realize we aren't top tier but we are SEC. We should never play road games at a place like that. That's beneath even MsU.

That wasn't my worst as our trip all over the state of Oregon was breathtakingly beautiful. From going down the Columbia River Gorge between Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood all the way to Portland. Then down the coast of Oregon and spent the night at a hotel where huge waves sounded like they were breaking right outside our window. Funny, but the first I heard that Fant didn't make the trip was from the desk clerk at our hotel on the beach. That was a real let down, especially hearing it from him. However, the scenery soon made me feel better. Down through a cheese factory that was really cool watching them make cheese through huge windows from an inside cafe. On to Newport and the sand dunes which were incredible. Then through the Coastal Mountain Range and into the valley where Eugene was located. The temps increased in Eugene significantly and felt a lot like Mississippi that time of year. In the low to mid 90's with a bit of humidity too. Didn't expect that. After the disaster at Autzen Stadium was done, we left the next day and headed to Bend Oregon and the Three Sisters Volcanoes. Huge gorges, deserts, forests, mountains, coastal areas......have to say Oregon has got it all. Wouldn't be a bad place to live as long as you didn't live in or near Portland.....crazy liberals are all there. Great trip......horrible football game!

My worst was my first trip to Gainesville. Soon as we rolled into the city limits, Florida fans were giving us the middle finger as they walked to the game. All of them!!.....Adults, kids, grandma's you name it.... they were all fingering us.....LOL, must be a tradition to middle-finger all opposing fans before the game. Think they beat us 52-0. That was the game Spurrier tacked on another TD for their water boy who apparently had a previous bad experience in Starkvegas.

2014 Orange Bowl. Hard to describe how much money I spent on that ... for that. Between the expense, one bad experience after another and the game, it all just put a complete damper on what had been the greatest season in MSU football history.

'92 egg bowl in Oxford was miserable. Icy cold and misting sleet/snow flurries as the game went on. Had so many chances inside the 10 yard line to punch it in and just couldn't get it done. OM fans went crazy afterwards. Actually saw some ole miss guy with a stand right outside the stadium inking t-shirts with the final score and selling them on the spot. Unbearably obnoxious doesn't begin to describe that unholy patch of earth that is Oxford.

CWS championship in 2013. Broke down car, pulled over in Memphis doing 95, Taco Bell induced stomach virus, heat and humidity unlike I've ever experienced, hotel room did not book properly, arriving at stadium for the game 2 *** whipping right at first pitch, needing a shower and a toothbrush, puking Dr. Pepper and Chicken Sandwich in the bathroom after the third inning, staying in some Hotel Patel outside of Omaha that night, woke up the next morning ate breakfast, proceeded to puke it up a couple of hours later en route to MS, finally walked in the door at 10 p.m. that night and had to go to work at 7 the next morning. UGH!

1999 Arkansas game in Little Rock. Worst fans that I have ever been around.

Bonus, we drove to the South Carolina game where their 4th string QB threw a game winning TD on maybe 4th down right in front of us. We got back to the truck and started driving then had a blowout.

I will say that we went to Fayetteville a few years later and every Arkansas fan we talked to apologized immediately when we said we went to Little Rock. Apparently those are the trash fans and regular Arkansas fans don't go to LR.

I’ll also mention 2018 Bama. If you’ve ever sat in the visitor section at BDS for a 2:30 game, it is absolutely miserable. You are staring directly into the sun until it gets dark sometime in the second half.

I had zero expectations for us winning that game, only went because my dad and brother wanted me to. We got behind 21-0 early and the only interesting thing that happened the whole game was the phantom block in the back call right before half that took a TD off the board. Objectively one of the worst calls I’ve ever seen, but even without it we probably still lose 24-7 instead of 24-0.
