Can the Pirates sustain their momentum from the second half of the Xavier game? Or will the assumed poor crowd and the noon time start once again bring on another lackluster first half?

This should be an absolute blowout, but I still have no feel for the Pirates and know that Holloway isn't going to change his starting lineup despite the lack of scoring in the first half of recent games.

I'll play it safe

Another tough game. Have to slow down one of the Marquette top scorers. I think we see a more engaged crowd than the Butler game. Hope they play at the faster tempo on offense. Have to play with the same sense of urgency they had against Xavier.

Marquette has won 2 of their last 3 including Tuesday's blowout of Creighton by 24 points. When we played them in Milwaukee, I was impressed with their freshman PG Nigel James. He has improved throughout the season and is now playing like an All-Big East player. In his last 6 games, he's averaging 23.3 points & 7.0 assists shooting 57% from the Field and 53% from 3 (17 for 32).

We need to come to play. Marquette is playing well and Sha doesn't have a strong career record vs Shaka. We need that 2nd half version of Budd to push the ball up the floor, attack the paint and make plays for everyone.

We haven't been great at Home but Marquette has not played well on the Road at 0-7.

My granddaughter is a freshman in the Marquette Nursing program. She loves Marquette as much as I love the Hall ,and realizes that I will be rooting against her only two days a year.

Not feeling good about this one. MU playing much better lately and you can bet they’ll be much more prepared for our press than the first meeting. MU 71-69.
