Come on man...they have 1 real win that carries weight. Botched some endings and did not deliver vs the bottom half of the league.
people will attack 20 wins, but the reality is they got 10 big east wins and 4th place which is a good job for shu any year .
I’ll add that the team was obviously pretty bad on one side of the ball but pretty good on the other side. Overall it may mean nothing to some people, but to this one fan 20 wins was a welcome surprise. I hope they have a few more wins left in them.
20 wins isn’t what it used to be but it’s better than anyone expected before the season. At 14-2, I think many including myself expected it before March but we got here. Yes the league was weak but we can only play who is on our schedule. It’s good we got here, sad as whole the conference’s level of play was closer to A-10 level than B1G level otherwise 20 wins gets us in. I get it a higher level of play and we’re likely not at 20 wins.
20 wins, a top 4 finish is still solid/good even though the big east is reallllllly down this year.

If you donated as much as you complained, we would have a hell of an NIL budget.
Although this team has been incredibly frustrating at times this season, i think the vast majority of us would have taken 20-10 at this point in the season before play started back in November. I mean, after seven victories all of last season, and being the embarrassment of the entire conference, we all would have absolutely taken a bubble team for the next season. It's hard to argue that the season hasn't been a success.
At the same time, I'm not sayin' it's been an easy season to watch.

Of course we would all have signed up for it. But when we signed up if you said we’d be 20-10 with almost no chance at an at large bid, I would’ve laughed at you.
I think you missed Catholic man's semi-sarcasm.....pointed at the headline of the first post.
Maybe not "wonderful" but 20 wins is a darn sight better than "horrible".
Man, why do you even follow the team If it makes you so unhappy. You always seem to be miserable. You and your running mate. It was a surprising good season compared to expectations. Try to enjoy it.
Let the miserable people be miserable, let the happy people be happy. I don’t think we should ever take 20 wins for granted definitely something coach and the team should be proud of.. at the same time anyone who ever watched the A10 or WCC and said their 20 win team isn’t really that good because of the competition they playcan say the same thing about our team this year
20 wins is a major improvement over last year, but if they miss the NCAAT, then it’s meaningless.
Geez they were 4-2 in league play with winnable game paths ahead and have won 6 of the last 13. I actually don't follow it like I once did. The zest of it for me is done.
This is where I’m torn. I get your point and to a degree, I agree. The goal, at least from my pov, is to get to the tournament.
Where I’m torn is what to make of the season if we fail to qualify. I think it was meaningless to the average college basketball fan’s perspective of SHU bball. I think it will be a failure to many of our own fans.
However there are plenty of stakeholders that will not consider the season meaningless and I get that too.
They went 6 and seven down the stretch with one more to go. They missed opportunities that’s for sure. They played the top two teams in the league really tough but just couldn’t get over the top in those games.
