In the Hood situation.... The 1 year scholarship is bs. Hood was about to be the face of this program, a leader, and he is a Bulldog basketball legacy. There is no way State would have EVER pulled Hoods scholarship. So let's not act like he made some decision to protect himself. If anything, he will be at more risk of losing a scholarship (all be it minimal) by transferring.
As for today's basketball players.....who doesn't know the selfish what can you (coach) do for me attitudes permeating the game. It looks like they want to have a dance off pregame rather than concentrate on basketball anyway. But anyway....I guess the UK resident expert has to educate us. However most State fans felt....giving the guy is a 17n legacy(have i mentioned that yet?), he was loyal to the school first. Also You would think, since his dad played here, his dad had some insight into what was going on. Anyone with common sense who watch a few of our games knew. So he had to know the situation. Then post season, State pretty much does everything it can to right the situation. Hood still wants out. Leaving the logical explanation that Hood signed with State reluctantly...probably for his dad (not for Stansbury or the school obviously) has since decided he wants to be elsewhere, because Louisville or FSU has opened their door, and now he is going to do what he probably wanted to do.
If Stans and Retardo were coming back, I would say I don't blame him. However that is not the case. So excuse the State fans if we are bitter over doing all we can for a legacy and he still leaves. UK, Ark, Bama....you name the school...their fans would go ape.... crazy if the same situation played out there.
