College Bowl Association released the schedule for the 2015-16 postseason, making it a perfect time to do the impossible and pick which teams will be playing in the record 40 bowl games set to take place between Dec. 19 and Jan. 2.

Plenty of wishful thinking involved — Texas vs. Texas A&M! — and picks all are subject to change before the season starts.

If we're going to go to a shi$$y bowl we might as well play Marshall.... ...it makes for a seamless theme.

Curious, do all 8 of their fans travel?
They travel better than most small schools for bowl games, that's a WV (state) thing.

Sorry I know I wasn't supposed to provide a serious response.

Poppycock!
No bowl would pit WVU against Marshall because there'd be no national interest and only WVU would bring fans to the game. TV guys wouldn't allow it. 49 states would watch something else.

Sure hope we're not the last Big 12 team picked for a bowl.

Bring on those Georgia Southern Eagles. Let's de-feather them!!!

I agree. Two WV teams playing in the heart of Texas in a bottom feeder bowl? Doubtful. Would mean another sub par year for the 'Eers. Can't see how ticket sales would be likely under the circumstances & venue.

Also doubt ND makes the semis. I'd peg TCU ahead of Baylor in the semis as well. Petty is gone. Boykin is not. Baylor's system is extremely reliant on QB.

To get to a bowl game with a Power 5 opponent wouldn't Marshall have to win their league? Without Cato that's not going to happen.

Not necessarily. Conference USA will allow their champion to choose which of the league's bowl tie-ins the champ wants to accept. Heart of Dallas is the only contracted C-USA bowl which is scheduled to feature a Power 5 opponent. If the league champ wants to play in a different bowl, the Dallas game would still be open.

I sincerely hope a WVU/Marshall bowl game never occurs for the same reason I did not want to face Syracuse again in the Pinstripe Bowl.
