Florida Gators softball headed to the WCWS
Florida will now play in the WCWS bracket comprised of the eight teams who won in the super regionals. The eight teams will be placed into two four-team brackets to determine which two teams will play in the WCWS Championship series. The brackets will be double-elimination, with the winning team from each pool advancing to the final series.
The Gators’ regular season performance earned them the ability to host their own regional pool in the first round of the D1 Softball Championship — entering the tournament as the No. 14 ranked team in the nation. The Gainesville region hosted Wisconsin, Georgia Tech and Canisius as well as Florida.
