Brian Kelly after win vs. Arkansas: 'Maybe next year they'll think about maybe not making us homecoming'
LSU is coming off a sixth straight win, running roughshod over Arkansas on the road in a game that the Razorbacks had designated as their annual homecoming game.
Tigers coach Brian Kelly might just have taken offense to that. After the game he took a brief dig at Arkansas.
“Now we’ve got to go do it again against a really good Texas A&M team at their place,” Kelly said. “I know this was homecoming. I’m sure they’ll schedule homecoming next week there against us, too. It just seems like we get everybody’s homecoming.
“Maybe next year they’ll think about maybe not making us homecoming anymore.”
After falling 34-10 on Saturday, Arkansas will probably at least think long and hard about it in the future. Of course, the SEC schedules are such that annual matchups are no longer guaranteed moving forward.
In any case, one thing that can be said confidently: LSU will not be the homecoming opponent for Texas A&M this week.

Texas A&M is one of the few programs that doesn’t celebrate a traditional homecoming, though the program is not short on cool traditions. Not by a long shot.
In any case, there will be more on the line than just homecoming next week anyway.
Going into the matchup, Texas A&M leads the conference with a 4-0 record, while LSU trails at 3-0. They are the only two unbeaten teams in league play, so the winner will get a huge leg up in the race to lock up a spot in the SEC Championship Game.
Kelly was thrilled with his team’s output against Arkansas.
“I just, I applaud the kids in terms of their mindset and what they believe that they need to get done,” the LSU coach said. “And we’re coaching to it and they’re taking to it.”
