Miami offers former Florida commit, 4-star CB Jamarrien Burt

Miami has extended an offer to Ocala (Fla.) Forest four-star wide receiver Jamarrien Burt.
Burt is the No. 409 recruit in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Jamarrien Burt was previously committed to Florida. He was the first player to decommit from the Gators after Dan Mullen was fired in November.
Miami hired Mario Cristobal as its newest head coach Monday.
The Hurricanes recruiting class has eight commits, including Lexington (Miss.) Holmes County four-star cornerback Khamauri Rogers, Fort Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot four-star cornerback Chris Graves and Orlando (Fla.) Evans four-star safety Markeith Williams

But Cristobal is making quick moves to try and boost that recruiting class. Greer (SC) IMG Academy tight end and Alabama commit Jaleel Skinner and Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman four-star EDGE Cyrus Moss are among a few commits visiting Miami this weekend.
On3’s Jeremy Crabtree wrote that Cristobal is going to help level the recruiting field in South Florida where Miami has struggled recently.
“Rival recruiters say if Miami was going to make a change it had to be for a guy like Cristobal,” Crabtree said. “Several coaches, including a veteran ACC assistant, said there are only a few coaches who understand what it takes to recruit at Miami. And none have a better track record than Cristobal.”
