Michigan offers 4-star linebacker Phil Picciotti

Michigan extended an offer Monday to Perkasie (Pa.) Pennridge four-star linebacker Phil Picciotti.

Picciotti also has offers from Illinois, Maryland, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State, Pitt, Purdue, Rutgers, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.

He is the No. 338 overall recruit in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Picciotti is also the No. 25 linebacker in the nation and No. 10 player from the state of Pennsylvania.

On3 rates Phil Picciotti much higher, grading him as the No. 236 overall player in the country and No. 6 player from Pennsylvania.

The only players ranked ahead of him are Reading (Pa.) Wyomissing offensive tackle Jven Williams, Pittsburgh Brashear safety Ta’Mere Robinson, Uniontown (Pa.) Laurel Highlands athlete Rodney Gallagher, Harrisburg (Pa.) Bishop McDevitt running back Marquese Williams and Philadelphia Imhotep Institute safety Rahmir Stewart.
