Oklahoma offers 2024 IMG Academy RB Stacy Gage
Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy running back Stacy Gage picked up an offer from Oklahoma while visiting the Sooners on Saturday.
Gage was in town for Oklahoma’s matchup with Texas Tech and posted his scholarship offer about 30 minutes before kickoff in Norman.
The 5-foot-11 back was born in the Sooner State.
The 2024 recruit now has over 30 offers, including from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Texas and USC.
Stacy Gage looks like an elite running back
Gage burst on the scene as a freshman at IMG Academy last season and has continued to impress people as a sophomore.
On3’s Chad Simmons was at IMG Academy’s season-opening contest against Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage. His top takeaway from the game was the play of Gage.

“He is only a sophomore, but Stacy Gage played well beyond that age in this contest,” Simmons said. “He finished with 150-yards rushing and two touchdowns with would have been a third called back. Gage is a 5-foot-11, 200-pound running back that looks like he could be preparing to play game one in the SEC right now. He added offers from schools like Auburn, Florida State, Georgia and Miami over the summer. LSU has offered since his performance Friday night. He flashed a nice burst, balance and a nasty spin move that led to one of his touchdowns.”
Simmons also named Gage one of his top five performers from that week of the season.
Two weeks later, On3’s Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power shouted out Gage in his recap of top performers in the second week of the high school season.
“2024 running back Stacy Gage had some more impressive runs,” Power said. “The quickness looks to be elite. We saw Gage unleash a nasty spin move on a defender, yet again.”
