4-star LB Kaveion Keys offered by Texas A&M

Richmond (Va.) Varina four-star linebacker Kaveion Keys received an offer from Texas A&M on Wednesday night. He announced the news over social media.

Keys is the No. 314 overall prospect and No. 28 linebacker in the 2023 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 5 player in Virginia.

On3 rates him even higher. Per the 2023 On300, Keys is the No. 180 overall prospect, No. 15 linebacker and No. 3 player in Virginia.

A 6-foot-2, 190 pound prospect, Keys is expected to announce his commitment on Aug. 27. He has received 23 offers from programs including Florida, North Carolina, Penn State and Texas A&M. Keys took an official visit to the Tar Heels on June 3 and an official visit to the Nittany Lions three weeks later.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, North Carolina has a commanding lead for Keys’ services at 96.4%. Penn State has the next-best odds at 2.1%.

Regarding the Aggies, Texas A&M’s 2023 recruiting class is ranked No. 25 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 9 in the SEC. Additionally, the group contains nine commitments and is composed of one five-star, five four-stars and three three-stars.

Keys has an On3 NIL Valuation of $11.7K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
