If you take one of the most mocked gestures in sports history and one of the rowdiest fanbases in all of college baseball – you can assume how fans will react when Texas plays on the road at East Carolina.

With Horns Down being thrown left and right all week long in Greenville, North Carolina, former Texas pitcher and all-time great Greg Swindell took exception to the gesture and took to social media to voice his displeasure.

“Guess ECU doesn’t have a hand Gesture either. Show a little class and act like you’ve been there. Oh wait. Sorry,” Swindell wrote.

While Swindell was upset about the gesture, he certainly gave credit where credit is due.

“I will say this. ECU is deserving. And it will be a special moment,” he wrote.

The Longhorns, who need a win Saturday to keep its season alive, are currently trialing ECU 7-4 in the bottom of the seventh inning. You can catch the remainder of the game live on ESPN2.
