Texas DL Sydir Mitchell plans to enter NCAA Transfer Portal

Texas sophomore defensive lineman Sydir Mitchell plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
The 6-foot-6, 340-pound Mitchell will have three years of college eligibility remaining after appearing in eight games throughout his two seasons in Austin, including just four in 2024 to secure a redshirt.
Mitchell played high school football at Bergen Catholic (Oradell, NJ), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 3 overall player from New Jersey, the 26th-ranked defensive lineman and No. 226 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Mitchell struggled to crack the Texas playing rotation through his first two seasons in Austin, managing just four total tackles and just a half-tackle for loss in 2024.

Texas DL transfer Jaray Bledsoe set for weekend visit at Washington
Texas defensive lineman transfer Jaray Bledsoe is set to visit Washington this weekend, On3’s Pete Nakos confirmed. Bledsoe is a former four-star prospect.
After redshirting and playing in one game as a true freshman for Texas in 2022, Bledsoe appeared in eight games in 2023 before seeing his role diminished in 2024, appearing in just a handful of games.
Bledsoe played high school football at Marlin (TX), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 144 overall recruit and No. 19 defensive lineman in the 2022 recruiting cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
