WATCH: USC releases hype video ahead of Saturdays game against rival Cal

USC football is back this weekend, and up next for the Trojans is their in-state rival, the California Golden Bears. The Trojans are fresh off of a close eight-point victory in a wild second half on the road against the Arizona Wildcats. On Saturday, USC will need to be as hyped as they were in the second half to close out Arizona if they hope to take care of California. And the Trojans want their home crowd to have that same level of intensity, which is why they dropped the hype video below.
The Trojans currently sit in second place within the Pac-12 conference just behind the Oregon Ducks. Both teams only have one loss on the season. However, the Ducks’ loss came out of the conference against Georgia. And the Trojans lost a heartbreaker on the road against Utah.
California enters Saturday’s game as one of the Pac-12 teams struggling to pick up wins this season. The golden Bears are 3-5 On the season. Golden bears have yet to win a road game as well, which should be sweet music to the Trojans’ ears.
Justin Wilcox addresses Cal’s future against USC
With USC and UCLA exiting the Pac-12 soon to join the Big Ten, some of the biggest rivalries are likely to come to an end. One of the biggest ones for the Trojans set to expire is the matchup between them and the California Golden Bears. The two teams are on Saturday in what could be their last game against one another for quite some time. With that being the case, members of the media wondered whether California head coach Justin Wilcox thinks the rivalry will continue after USC leaves the conference.

“I don’t know,” said Wilcox. “That that’d be up to the administration and chancellor. I’m sure there’s a lot of people that would be involved. I’d be all for that.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen moving forward. Again, so much is changing so rapidly. And that’s really not where my head’s at right now. But I’m sure that there’s a lot of people that are discussing those things, so I’ll leave that to them.”
