Hilary Knight talks competing in final Winter Olympics, partnership with Hershey's
Hilary Knight is ready to lead the United States women’s ice hockey team one last time when the 2026 Winter Olympics kick off in February. On3 recently spoke to the four-time Olympic medalist, who shared how she his feeling heading into her fifth and final Olympic Games.
“Really excited. I think it was a very hard, long, grueling Olympic selection process and very competitive,” Hilary Knight, a Wisconsin alum, told On3. “And once you get named to that team, you just can’t wait to get over there and get to work. And I think whether you were named to our team or you were in our pool, we’ve set ourselves up for some success, and now it’s just executing and plotting our way through the tournament and just keeping the main thing the main thing. Because the Olympics are really awesome and complex and exciting, and they take a lot of energy. So it’s finding your route to enjoy them and then also getting ready to go when the puck drops.”
In Knight’s career, she has earned three silver medals and one gold medal in the Winter Olympics. In the 2022 Olympics in Beijing, Knight helped Team USA win the silver medal, scoring 10 points (six goals and four assists) in seven games.

“I think just playing together. We’re a really strong group when we play together, and we’re fast,” Knight said. “We demand a lot of ourselves. And I think if the most recent body of work has been exciting to see where we are and where we can be.”
As Knight prepares for her final Olympics, she has partnered with Hershey’s to share her story of finding happiness. It’s all part of “Hershey’s. It’s Your Happy Place.” campaign, and Knight and her family showcase how happiness is not only found in winning, but in everyday moments along their journey.
“It’s super special to me just because it’s very natural,” Knight said about the partnership. “Our family is a diehard chocolate lover. And so when the opportunity came through, I was really ecstatic. And then we were filming part of the social spot, and I was surprised that my parents were there. That was sort of part of it. And my mom was just over the moon. So you’re just beaming, so you could really feel that Hershey’s been a part of our journey, even though officially I was now with Hershey. So it’s just super special.”
