‘Twas a loaded WBB Sunday before holiday break. Here are the takeaways.

1. Kenzie Hare nails a buzzer-beater for the win

Iowa State was seconds away from overtime against the Kansas Jayhawks. It had been their closest game by far and the Jayhawks were playing their best basketball on Sunday.

But Kenzie Hare had something to say about that.

At the buzzer, she drilled a 3-pointer to give the Cyclones the 79-76 conference victory as they head into holiday break.

2. Texas Tech earns first true resume win

Texas Tech is one of just 12 undefeated teams left in the country, but they were lacking a true resume win.

On Sunday, they traveled to Waco and faced a ranked Baylor team. They caught them at a coincidental time as well, as Taliah Scott is dealing with an injury and the team’s momentum isn’t trending up.

The Lady Raiders came out with the 61-60 win due to a last-second drawn foul. Texas Tech will remain undefeated heading into the break.
