***2028 commitment nugget...

Alabama has landed a commitment from 2028 quarterback Charles Scott. The Crimson Tide has been on quite a heater with quarterback recruiting since Kalen DeBoer’s arrival, and we are now seeing prospects who haven’t played their junior season getting on the board. Obviously, there is a long way to go here, but once Scott visited in early April, UA was seen as the heavy leader for his commitment. Per a source near his recruitment, he was blown away and also extremely excited to commit to Alabama. Instead of rushing, as in committing soon after, he was asked to wait and make sure he felt good when he came down from the emotional high of the visit. And he did. As a sophomore, Scott passed for 3,594 yards with 41 touchdowns and only four interceptions. Georgia, Maryland, Syracuse and Pitt were among his dozen offers. Check out (and share your thoughts on) Scott's highlights below.

And a Reminder. We still like our prediction of Kenneth Simon to Alabama. He commits May 11. We've had a few asking us about that.

2008 QB. He old AF. But I guess that’s the trend for the new era of CFB. Get veterans

Mannn...I thought DeBoer was done with Saban recruits, but the 08 class was pretty legit.

How is this kid a 3 star lol. That size and tape how can anyone watch that and he be ranked in the 30s QB wise. I get he was a sophomore but damn what does tape need to look like at that age to make the top 25 QBs lol. If he was 5-10 190 I get it. He has all the tools and then some. Great pick up.

I don't have an issue with it. He hasn't played his junior year yet. So not a big rush. But he will have a lot of eyes on him this year. So it will get rectified.

Hope he sticks, his throws look effortless and the arm strength looks good.

We’re going to be running 4 and 5 star QB’s out on the kickoff coverage before to long. Great problem to have! That kid will be at least a 4 star guy before it’s over with. What an arm. And to think TT and LSU are dropping 5 mill plus in the portal.
