Alabama has landed a commitment from 2028 quarterback Charles Scott.
The Crimson Tide has been on quite a heater with quarterback recruiting since Kalen DeBoer’s arrival, and we are now seeing prospects who haven’t played their junior season getting on the board. Obviously, there is a long way to go here, but once Scott visited in early April, UA was seen as the heavy leader for his commitment. Per a source near his recruitment, he was blown away and also extremely excited to commit to Alabama. Instead of rushing, as in committing soon after, he was asked to wait and make sure he felt good when he came down from the emotional high of the visit. And he did.
As a sophomore, Scott passed for 3,594 yards with 41 touchdowns and only four interceptions. Georgia, Maryland, Syracuse and Pitt were among his dozen offers.
