Maybe Northwestern. If not, maybe an extra 13th game against New Mexico State?

I hope they don't win another game. Makes it way easier to fire everyone, reset the roster, move to the Sun Belt, and finally realize Nebraska will never be good at football ever again.

7-5 with a shot at 8-4 feels like the ceiling right now. Rhule has his work cut out for him cause there are winnable games but not with the effort we saw tonight.

I say 7-5. The things that have happened tonight have been an issue for 3 weeks but we were able to rally and overcome. The teams left on our schedule are more difficult minus NW and let’s see about ucla so 2 wins at most.

I'm Still optimistic. The circumstances preseason everyone had this as a loss. We haven't put together a clean game from start to finish in conference play. We got worked in a game that should of held a lot of weight, yet got over shadowed by the noise outside. Rhule is to blame for not shutting it down immediately in the Monday presser. Players project what the leadership shows. It took Dylan to shut it down for him publicly. This game feels like 2 steps back after 1 forward that we've seen since his time here. Maybe we'll break through... next week will tell us how the rest of the year goes.

I've never moved from 7-5. This is who we are, and it's an improvement. I'm not sure what y'all have been watching all year.

Very disappointed… We looked completely lost and mentally compromised from the whole Penn State blowup. Short of Rhule saying he’s staying the team looks like it’s gonna implode all the way.

Minnesota had the worst team they've had in years. Got smoked by Cal and should have lost to Purdue. We would lose to Purdue right now..

As surprising as it sounds if Penn State doesn’t fire Franklin we probably win this game. The team looked totally distracted, uninterested and broken. Much like children going through a divorce…

Disagree. It’s easy to see the difference in the physicality of MI and Minn versus our team. The LB and DL positions are glaring examples of the difference. Both those teams look the part and play the part. We’ll see the same against Iowa. Throw in the OL and you get a 7-5 team. Absolute embarrassment that we are where we are in year 3 under such a GOOD coach and visionary

I said before the maryland game that every single game will be a tough battle, and we could win or lose every single game. Lots of people laughed at me when that about UCLA and northwestern, I wonder how they feel about that now? Anything crazy can happen That's pretty obvious. But can you imagine how USC is gonna demolish our lines? They pushed michigan around. They may have fifteen sacks. We may lose that game by thirty. It may also be the game we get to see t j.Latif play because dylan may be injured at that point or we may be so far behind that Thule pulls his head out and puts latif into at least give him a chance.

Northwestern is our only possible win. Any team with even average rush end s will destroy this offense. A hard outside rush with man to man coverage will kill an immobile QB who cant progress his reads or step up into the pocket. Our only hope is for Holgerson to go to screens, and 5-10 yard passes with 3 step drops. Then our D coordinator drops into zone coverage with no effective pass rush is doomed to failure. Open 5 yard crosses all night. Then they telegraph the blitz so Minny can toss a jailbreak screen for big yards. When crappy coaches call crappy game plans with crappy players you get last night's results. We need BOTH better coaches and players.

Vegas would have us as favorites if we played them again. Just a bad night and didn't come to play. No need to be a doomer. One hiccup and the emotional fans start acting like frost is our HC.

• Viable: Northwestern and UCLA
• Unlikely: Penn State and Iowa (can easily replicate what Minnesota did to us)
• Yikes: USC

If we finish 6-6 this guy has to be gone. Two years with a 5-star QB and the best he can muster is .500, at that point what are we paying him for? The CFB landscape has changed. Multi-year program building is outdated.

I'll agree about being dominated, but that didn't truly didn't until 3rd quarter after that long drive that kept getting extended by penalty or poor tackling. First time I watched the team quit. Poor offense led to that. Being physical is more of a mindset than anything, they just broke our defense. I expect this team to bounce back, I don't believe this team is ones of the past.

You and I have this pegged the same. Crappy OLine play ain’t gonna help get wins.

We would be 6-6 or better with competent coaching, which we currently do not have. Spare me the smoke and mirrors overhype bullshit about how this is better that is better. Fact of the matter is there isn't jack shit that's better and over paying players the players better start playing like they are worthy of 3 mill or maybe you should bench them or cut them until they pull their head out of their ass. There isn't one player on this team worth what they are being paid not one. If that hits people the wrong way so be it.
