Coach Cal

Calipari has been the media darling for the last few weeks, which is fine. I still like the guy most of the time. However, Kentucky fans have been relentlessly mocked because of his perceived "success." In reality, Cal and Arkansas have been praised endlessly for beating a string of mediocre teams. SEC Tournament: • Oklahoma • Ole Miss • Vanderbilt NCAA Tournament: • Hawaii • High Point • Currently getting blown out by Arizona Can you imagine the outrage if he had produced these same results during his last two years in Lexington? There would have been riots. The expectations are lower at Arkansas, but while everyone claims he’s "found his swagger," I’d argue he’s actually underachieved given he has a talent like Acuff on the roster. Ultimately, BBN and UK have been the national punching bags all year, with everyone trying to rub Cal’s "resurgence" in our faces. Even though Pope’s season was horrendous, I’d still take him over a 17th year of the Calipari era if this is how it is going to end.

I don't want either. Cal had a great run for us that ended poorly. Pope has been a disappointment and should have never been hired

Arkansas would have had UKs season if not for Acuff. He won them 4-5 games on his own.

Acuff is so damn good. If Arkansas fans actually believe he is the best Cal guard ever, how could you not be disappointed with this season? He honestly might be, which is why I think they underachieved.

There’s an argument he’s the best OFFENSIVE guard Cal has had (although I’d still put a couple others above him who just had better teammates), but his defensive issues keep him from the best. This Arkansas team really isn’t that talented outside of Acuff and a pretty raw inconsistent Meleek Thomas. Zero frontcourt and no depth. They were never gonna have a chance in this game tbh

I agree with that. It’s all kinda annoying to me. I was all for it last year but in reality Cal hasn’t said anything negative about UK other than the administration (which we all agree with) since he left. He’ll probably never be a major championship contender again, but he’s at a place where those aren’t the expectations anymore

I'm looking forward to the post game press conference of this Arizona game. Arizona is probably the best team in the country but Acuff is the best player on the court. - Not this game but in general, Just like when we had Reed and Rob and got cooked by a guy that only shot 3s all year.

I love all the guards he had at UK but Acuff is the best all around guard he has had. I don't think its close. Wall was a better distributor. Knight a better scorer, On par with Maxey as a scorer but in college a better passer. SGA hadn't found himself in college but was the best now.
