Dante Moore has terrible advisors

At worst he was the #2 pick in the draft. Good chance he would have went #1 based on traits. He can only hurt his stock coming back for another year. Delays getting to your 2nd NFL contract by a year too.

No I think he has the right advisors. The history of NFL QBs with one year of experience is not very good.

Yeah pay me my fully guaranteed $45-$50 million. I can choose my next team on my 2nd contract if I hate the Jets that much.

Think he played it smart. Gonna get a nice year's salary, avoid the Jets, and have a way more diverse group of teams looking for a QB next year.

You think the jets won’t be picking in the top three next year too?? MUCH deeper QB draft too

maybe he doesnt want to play for the Raiders or Jets. the organization that drafts you can have a huge impact on your longevity and development in the NFL. being the Oregon QB and making several million dollars isnt the worst temporary Plan B.

What if the jets suck again next year and they have a top 3 pick again? 😂

Second pick is slotted at 52.5 million guaranteed, before the 5th year option. Thats as high as he’s ever going to go with Arch coming out next year. Just all time dumb.

Peyton came back and he hasn’t getting millions and it worked out ok

Those teams are likely to be shít next year too. And it’s a deeper QB class. Just dumb

I don’t think anyone tried to claim Moore is guaranteed to be in a worse situation. Glad it worked out for Peyton. What if he had torn his ACL? There’s also the obvious question: what if Dante Moore isn’t as good as Peyton and doesn’t make a second contract?

I think this was all about experience. If you look at track record of qb’s with similar college experience to his it’s pretty rough. Moore has rly only started 1.5 yrs. So seems like a good move to do one more year. I don’t think this is much about the jets. As horrific as the ownership is, the roster is not bad for a qb to step into. They have used their last 2 1st’s on tackles and seem to hit on both. Garrett Wilson is good, AD Mitchell has potential, breece hall should be back or else they would’ve traded him at deadline. Yes the defense is awful, but they also have plenty of picks for future drafts. Definitely passed up good money, but he’ll still be paid well at Oregon and is putting himself in a better position for having a solid NFL career. Just my 2¢

It's not always just about money. I realize some people have a hard time believing that

Think they'll take a QB this year.

Browns took two QBs last year and they’re probably in the market 🤷🏻‍♂️

Exactly - The only way he was going to enter the draft was if he was for sure going #1 due to the risk of being picked up by the Jets. He actually has great advisors as he’ll be the top QB by a mile next year, and the Jets will have a QB. If you’re not gettin first pick $$$ going to the Jets is a lose - lose situation.

Yeah its not a great choice. There was chatter that some even preferred him over Mendoza. He was a locked in second pick if not a potential number 1 overall. It doesnt get better than that. Next years class is supposed to be a lot deeper, so for him to be the best or second best he is going to have to hold off a lot of folks and the only way you do that is to continue to meet extremely high expectations. The most likely outcome is he stumbles down the board some due to injury or worse play and is drafted later than he would have been this year. But he could come back win every away, a natty and go number 1 overall. But if he doesnt at least win a natty and go 1st next year this will look like a bad choice on the surface.

Agree. He’ll make as much or more next year at Oregon and get the starts he very much needs. This is the right call long term, if he believes in his ability and wants to be a multi year starter. Hes a better CJ Stroud to me

Didn’t Riolia (?) from Nebraska just sign with the ducks?

Yes, says he's willing to redshirt. Has 3 years to play 2.

The what if game can go both ways, what if coming back puts him in a better position with a team in next a year draft where he’ll have a better chance of succeeding. Never know with things but making what he will next year in college certainly helps

If the goal is max money ASAP, sure I see your point. If the goal is to be the best QB ever, learning and gaining reps at AAA is better than jumping to the pros before you’re ready

Think this was stupid. Risk of injury or bad play sends you plummeting. I'll take the Jets and $40M and play for the team I want on my second contract...very very risky what he's doing
