He’ll be around for A-Day…..with lots of top recruits here….not many other schools can show that kind of success at a visit!

Yes it was. I loved to watch him play at Bama and the NFL. Such smart and mature 17-year-old.

When he was still in the NFL and was recovering from an injury one season, 2010ish, I ran into him at a deli here in town. We were in line next to each other. That dude was the nicest guy. Talked for a long time. Easy going. Smart. Proud to be from Bama. Football IQ was different than just being a player. Good guy.

There are a million stories like that. When I wrote about him or mentioned him on the radio he would call to thank me.

That’s a great line. One of my all time Bama favorites. Love seeing all his success. Got to watch that 2005 team play in the bowl game in Texas. Must have been the cotton bowl. Great experience except for the Texas Tech fans. Lol
