Recently, there was a nice article posted here on the cost of different positions in the portal (https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/what-the-transfer-portal-costs-now-position-by-position-price-ranges-amid-a-market-surge/).
Given this information, how much money do you think Michigan has allocated for the portal? How would you spend that money given the cost estimates in the article? Especially interested in @EJHolland and @EthanMcDowell ’s opinions.

50% of whatever Ohio State will spend. Warde wants to stay competitive.

5-10 million because we’re not shopping for a QB this year. But, we should be spending 3-4 million on WR’s alone. IMO

If we are serious, $20 million dollars.
We just hired a guy who will turn 67 during the season.
We don't have time to go through any process.
Win now mode or what are we doing?

Until we know who's leaving, it's really hard to even imagine what they might spend. I think a big part of that also depends on whether or not some kids from Utah want to follow coach Whitt, and what they're experience levels are. I think the biggest needs are interior DLine, wide receiver, edge, and safety, but those priorities could change in a blink if Bryce leaves.
Stud DT - $1.5M
Stud WR - $2M (might have to overpay here)
Average WR - $500K
Stud Edge - $800K (kid from Utah who's injured)
Stud Safety - $1M (kid from BYU)
That's more of a wish list. I think they could still add a center as well. I also have no idea if it's going to take giving some of our kids a bump to get them to stay.

Michigan has a two year window to win a natty before Bryce goes to the nfl.
I think we should be all in now because Whittingham is going to be here 5 years.
