We all expected the USF guys, right? But it's the lack of big names, highly touted players setting visits that disappoints me. I thought, "Okay, I'll give it three days," and still nothing. Sure, there's a lot of time left, but a lot of money was freed up with who left, and I expected to see some more highly sought-after guys, especially at WR, TE, OL, and edge.
And please, spare me the "he is doing it his way, blah blah blah." Talent is talent, man, bottom line. And it needs to be coming in the doors, at least to visit. This is Auburn.
It can be sold. The majority of what I have seen come visit has been who this staff would have called on at USF in the portal. Gotta up your game here, man. I know he understands that, or I hope he does. I know all this big-time money isn't going to three-star portal players, so when are the proven plug-and-play starters going to get here? The only one I know is Byrum Brown as of now. Maybe Echols, maybe.
Hopefully, he is just knocking out USF guys and depth pieces right now, but all the top players are setting and taking visits, and Auburn isn't on the list.
