Yes, I know CMP doesn’t guarantee playing time but I beg him to try to take a mcdonald’s AA every now and then. Hard to win a title without those. Still a hell of a job by this senior class.

I cringed when I read Painter refuses to hire an NIL manager. Don’t know for sure if it’d make a difference, but afraid it’s a sign that he’s not adjusted to the times and it’s more likely to hold us back.

Posted in another thread: There was nothing Painter could've done. This Arizona team is the cousin to the UCONN team we lost to. Instead of 5 NBA guys, they had 4. Each of their starters getting more NIL than Braden. And every single one of them know the analytics. Just be bigger and faster and get to the free throw line. It's an archetype Purdue will NEVER have. And until we do, a national championship will never be in our control because it will all depend on the matchup we get.

If we aren’t getting pros, we at least have to get more positional size. All the elite teams this year have multiple big, versatile and physical bigs. Not sure we can keep running out 3 small and below average athletes at the 1,2,3 no matter how skilled. Our national profile should be good enough that we don’t have to have one or the other (skill or size).

We do not have the funds those schools do. An E8 appearance is an unbelievable season for a school that operates the way we do. A Final four is a once in a lifetime experience when everything breaks our way.

And if you look at recruiting and next year's team, thats what you'll see. Mayer, West, Benter, Huan, Harris.

We are one of the largest public institutions in America. Why do they have more money than us?
