The way he’s dressed makes me think I’ve seen him at a Speedway at least a dozen times before in the early 2000s.

Dude needs to get into some conditioning before next season in my opinion.

While I agree him huffing for air was weird, only Oweh and Aberdeen averaged more minutes than McBride next year. I will say Pope’s substitution pattern will ensure his conditioning doesn’t need to improve

Yea this is not the one. Made sure to show off a soft body and battling for breath while also highlighting moves/shots he'll never be asked to make here. I'd be way more moved just watching him spot up for catch and shoots :LOL:

How do we know what he has been doing. I mean he could have been doing wind sprints for all we know anyone might have been gasping after that. I think a lot of people are sleeping on this guy and his shooting from outside.

For people saying he needs more conditioning how do you not know how long he was practicing.

I'm excited to see what he brings to the table. He is a kid who by all means wanted to play at UK, wanted to represent the state of Kentucky and all of the tradition that goes with it. I refuse to throw insults at kids like that but that's just me.

That’s what I was thinking after reading all of the “experts”. They have no idea how long he was out there. For all we know these clips could have been three hours in.

^ Probably would’ve judged Larry Bird’s ability by his body type as well. Some of our fanbase think they know way more than what they do.

He looks skilled but conditioning will be important once he lands on campus. I like the addition.

Some folks have never played pickup with actual D1 players. It was 93-98 when I was on UK’s campus, but ended up in games involving many UK players. They goof in those settings, do shit coaches won’t allow them to do on Kentucky’s team. Like the video of Zoom a few weeks back in a free run somewhere, I wouldn’t make one single judgement based upon what is seen playing against non D1 guys.

Dude is in the gym playing ball, not xbox. No telling how long he had been playing, either. He will be in shape when it counts.

Asked someone around the program about their favorite recruiting wins of the offseason, guard duo of Zoom/Wilkins came up first, but McBride wasn't too far behind. A lot of excitement about that one.

I think he looks like a good player. Little bit out of shape but that works for some below the rim players.

To play Devil’s Advocate, did you expect them to say they were disappointed? They’re going to tell you they’re excited for every player. I do like all three of those pick ups though and think some people are sleeping on McBride.

No, I expected them to single out some players they felt were big/underrated recruiting wins. Which they did. Those were the three mentioned.
