Desmond Howard says it’s good to have a blue blood in the national title game. Do you guys consider Miami a blue blood?

People throw around the term “blue blood” without thinking about what it really means

Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, USC, Michigan……………and I guess Texas.
I think with not just a quarter century of no comparable success to the previous half, but including multiple horrendous seasons, Nebraska has fallen out as of now.

It’s Desmond, he’s only on that show for his pretty smile. He brings nothing else to the table.

Just as the sun rises every day, Desmond is going to say something idiotic on camera. They should have canned him when they got rid of Pollack.

I would not call them a blue blood. Elite program yes, but not a true blue blood.
Minnesota would have a better claim of being a blue blood than Miami, and I don't consider them one.
Minnesota vs Miami
overall record
733-544-42 vs 637-358-12
national championships
7 vs 5
conference championships
18 vs 8
I know it was different eras, but they still have the banners.
