So MM beats an awful Ole Miss team in double overtime and this guy decides to post his support for MM. Good Times! If MM does stay around, I wonder what the excuse will be next year? Most teams have injuries and unfortunately, MM, has some of the worst luck a coach can have. The fan support will be at an all-time low if he's retained, no matter if MM makes staff changes.

One can argue that the fan support hasn’t been there in a long time anyway. Wade didn’t always fill up the seats either. He did elevate the program during his time though and had some excitement. But the fans care more about other sports.

Quite a bit. He's President and CEO of the FMOL health system, which owns Our Lady of the Lake hospital here in BR. They have become major donors of LSU athletics and the school, having done partnerships for the new health and recovery wing of football ops, serving as title sponsor for several games in all the major sports, and are likely to be the naming rights sponsor of the new basketball arena. He's on the LSU foundation and was asked to serve on the search committee for the football HC position when Lane is hired. And with that has become very close to Lane and Verge, which you only need to look at the hat that Lane wears all the time, which is an FMOL/LSU logo hat. So yeah, he has a lot of sway. Will be interesting to see if he and Lee Mallet are pitted against one another on this.

So... Did Wade tell us no? That would be the only way I can come up with a reasonable explanation for this support. But then again, there's 8 million reasons to keep him around another year for yet another last place finish and empty arena...

I just think so much is happening at one time. Like my brother explained to me earlier, could be donor fatigue. That’s the perfect statement for this situation. Firing coach o, WW situation(which I understand) hiring BK to a big deal(while paying coach o buyout) then having to fire him and owe sum so much, hiring Kiffin and giving him huge promises and huge contract while buying out BK, now this McMahon situation. It’s just a lot and I can only imagine being in that spot to have to dish out all that money

I just don’t get why 2 million dollars is a reason to keep a coach. It’s only going to be 2 million less next year …

He can get credit for Jay because was the AD but he wasn’t the one who said we need to get him.

He got the Football Coach and Men’s basketball coach hires wrong. He also signed them both to stupid contracts, Stephanie Rempe convinced him with Jay Scott Wanted Pat Casey.

sure keep him and take more of his rev sharing and give it to JJ.

He did not even want Jay. Kim fell into his lap, and he chose Kim over Jay consistently, which is we have Jay complaining about his slice of the rev share pie. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on BK, who could have predicted that he would be a lazy POS? Don't forget the MBB hire and the egregious contracts that he consistently gave out like candy.

Does he deserve another chance? Absolutely not. Will he get another chance? Sadly, yes.

Not sure on that as I haven't talked to anyone about it in a couple of weeks, but I'd doubt at this point he would've said no. Too early for that. I mean, we could take the positive spin approach and say Kuiper didn't say he deserves another chance..."at LSU". Maybe he just meant he deserves another chance somewhere, which I 100% totally agree, EJ. lol
