He was annoying to play against, glad to have him here.

Seems like a tough kid from when we played him last year. Took a bunch of hits but kept getting back up. Solid add to the QB room.

Solid add. Would like to see him have a package of RPO plays as a change of pace.

He will undoubtedly make the scout team a pain in the ass to practice against. Happy to have him

He’s purely depth.

Don't really see him being the starter.

As a QB, should be a layup for Alessio to win the job IMO.

Well I'll welcome him because he wants to be a Spartan, but I feel like backup QBs a mid-tier schools are dime a dozen. I feel like we could've found someone a little more productive to be QB2.

Red Zone and short yardage packages...I wanted that with Chiles after AM took over

Good depth piece to have behind Alessio. Very productive runner and can be a threat in certain packages potentially.

I know but I still don’t understand the need to bring in an awful 6th year guy. Waste of a spot IMO.

People need to realize all of these pickups aren’t going to be starters. They just overhauled an entire roster. You need capable depth pieces too.

Guys that are more productive usually want to go a place with a better chance to start. Tommy Schuster was a special circumstance--he wouldn't have come to MSU if he grew up in a different state.

Is he one of the 4? I hope not. Maybe a surprise. No digging this at all. Assume he was told probably backup role.

I don’t think they had any plan of a qb competition. That part is pretty apparent.

perhaps someone with a little more durability would be nice, but hopefully it is not an issue, right?
