Sources: Arch Manning taking reduced House payment share to support 2026 championship pursuit

By: IT staff Head coach Steve Sarkisian isn’t the only one at Texas that is all-in for the 2026 season. Sources tell Inside Texas that star quarterback Arch Manning has agreed to a reduced compensation amount from Texas’ House settlement revenue sharing pool in 2026. https://www.on3.com/teams/texas-longhorns/news/sources-arch-manning-taking-reduced-house-payment-share-to-support-2026-championship-pursuit/

Probably a few hundred thousand dollars that can be used to make sure he is standing upright next season What a move by a team leader.

Love it, selfless service. That's the guy you want in your foxhole, or your football team.

Image This plus Sark's hire moves tell me everyone is rowing in the same direction. Sark and co. know that 2026 is the year. When your best players are the most selfless (though Arch is still making a sh*t ton of money even after he reduces his share), you have a chance to be a great team. The B.B's are in the box. LETS GO.

Hypothetically, can a current player donate to a NIL fund?

Oh my God, this is absolutely horrifying: “Manning also was second on the team in rushing with 83 carries for 244 yards”

Kirk Bohls will write an article shortly about how Casey Thompson wouldn’t have taken any house payment because you don’t need money when you sleep at the facility while watching 18 hours of film a day.

That’s a Justin scoop. I just added one extra confirmation. There’s never going to be another one like Arch Manning and I’m not talking about his ability.

New Center/ Guard funds. I am always interested in the comparison between NIL and NFL salaries. If Manning is making $5+ million in NIL, the comparable draft position would be ~10th overall where this year’s pick gets a 4 years / $20 million. Obviously Arch would still have substantial off field earning potential as a Manning but a lot of other QBs wouldn’t. Interesting since the going rate for quality college portal QBs is creeping up to $3-4 million.
