What else are you going to do for a club sport?

Well at least we don’t have to spend any more time wondering how it can get turned around. That’s about as clear a message as can be sent. Nobody in the admin or donor base cares about baseball anymore. Hopefully fans get the message and stop wasting money on it.

Posted this in the other thread, but this won’t help. Players we need are not coming for a scholarship, we need NIL money. It’s like we are trying to choke off the program.

That doesn't sound great for baseball, unless there is coming baseball specific donors. Who knows. Any way, I'm pulling for Tadlock to turn it around. Would love to see it.

Exactly what’s happening and our biggest donor mentioned few months ago baseball could be a sport that gets cut so don’t be surprised

This was probably the best option financially as you would have owed Tadlock a ton of money and if you are to do right with baseball and bring in a new guy, you would have had to make the new guy's NIL huge too give him a chance. Hopefully we will increase baseball's NIL to be competitive with the top schools in the Big 12 and turn this thing around. It has to start with pitching.

Any new info in there? And like many have mentioned it still seems like a wash financially. Yes full scholarships but less revenue sharing. So what’s the improvement?

Seriously? Why not just fire him and close down the program if you don’t care to win? It would save money in the long run.

Maybe he takes a pay cut and donate half of his salary to NIL. Coaches always want a raise when they over-achieve but no cut if they under-achieve.

Baseball is not hoops or football in the NIL world. A little $ can go a long ways to getting you a player or two. The scholarship deal should help. The Big 12 is not the SEC in baseball. Tech should be a top 3-4 program in this conference. That will make you a top 25 program and put you in the dance.

We should use the stadium for additional RV parking for football. Tadlock can work the gate and provide valet septic service.

Good. He should be. Tadlock is not the type of guy to ask for a lot of help. But he did go and ask for money, specifically for pitching, and was told no. The people on here that run him down saying he does not care and has mailed it in don't know shit. if you new him you would not say that. And then there are the ones like restless that are just dipshits. People on this board like calling out our coaches and players and talking crap about them. Well I think it is bullshit and I like calling you out. I am glad he is back.

Tech is at the minimum sports to stay D1 so they would have to find one to add or become D2 if they cut baseball. I think his comments are more about college athletics overall than about Tech.

Is there any truth of a potential donor coming in to help?
