Think about this he had said on record Kentucky was offering 3x what Michigan was and it couldn’t convince him. Kentucky is rumored to be offering $2,000,000 or so more than Kansas and can’t convince Stokes. We have big problems folks. Nobody wants to play for this coaching staff no matter how much they’re offered.

Yeah I’m not going to take this one specific case and run with it. 99% of kids want the most money. If he’s telling the truth he’s in the 1% that doesn’t care about money. The other option could be that he’s not telling the whole story and he wants to act like “it’s not about money to me” while also not throwing Pope under the bus. Which is just smart media training.

What does him going “on the record” have to do with anything? Anyone can say anything to a reporter. He’s not under oath for goodness sake.

IF this is true there are 2 fools here the one who offered all that money and the one who didn’t take all that money.

If he could get 3x the money to go to one of if not the premier program in the country and turned it down, I question his intelligence.

If that's true, then that dude is an absolute idiot. Would have trippled what he's making now, gotten as much if not more media exposure for the upcoming draft.

I would venture to say it’s true, I don’t see what a kid that is done with college, getting ready to play in the NCAA has to gain by making up a tall tale. Pope could come out and reject it and make a fuss out of it and make the kid look bad. I just don’t see the purpose of doing it, if not true.

I don’t take it like it was Michigan vs UK as the issue. I take it as Pope developing players was his concern.
