LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. – On3 was present at the Hotbed 7v7 tournament Saturday and there was plenty of talent from south Florida on hand.

South Florida Express took home the championship for the third year in a row and they have some stars on that roster.

Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons offers quick thoughts on 10 prospects that had impressive performances.

2023 WR Brandon Innis

There is not much I can say about Brandon Innis. He was so impressive. The playmaker out of Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage is so consistent. I have watched him play about 7-8 games over the last two weeks and I have not seen him drop one pass. He makes the easy catch, the tough catch, the one-handed catch, and he does it with ease. Innis has been extremely impressive. Innis is a former Oklahoma commit. Schools like Alabama, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State, and USC are on his radar.

2023 ATH Nathaniel Joseph

What a weapon Nathaniel Joseph is and can be. The Clemson commit out of Miami Edison is fun to watch. He can line up in the backfield and at wide receiver. Joseph is a mismatch and he is dynamic with the ball in his hands. He has great ball skills and is very shifty in the open field. Numerous schools are going to go after him, but he said he is “locked in” with Clemson over the weekend.

2023 WR Adam Moore

Miami Booker T. Washington star Adam Moore is a very intriguing prospect. I have seen him a couple of weeks in a row and he just makes plays. He is listed as a wide receiver but has the body and skill set more as a FLEX or H-Back on the next level. His ball skills and ability to adjust to the ball have really stood out. Schools like Indiana and UCF have offered and are showing strong interest.

2023 WR Carnell Tate

All I can think of when I describe Carnell Tate is smooth. He glides across the field, he is sneaky fast, and his length gives him a big catch radius. His body control jumps out and he is a natural pass catcher. He is only going to grow, get stronger, fill out, and to think about what he can be a few years from now is scary. Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Tennessee are his top schools, but there are many others in the mix. LSU is one to watch due to his connection with Brian Kelly and Tate wants to visit Baton Rouge.

2023 S Daemon Fagan

American Heritage Daemon Fagan is a very intriguing safety. He is every bit of 6-3, super long, and he has shown very good range and ball skills the last few times I have seen him live. NC State and Ohio State are his top two schools at this time and he will likely have a lot of eyes on him this spring.

2023 WR Santana Fleming

Santana Fleming was all over the field Saturday. He was coming off a minor injury that held him out of last week’s 7v7, but he was back with South Florida Express at this event. On the first drive on their first game, Fleming scored a touchdown. He made several plays falling out of bounds, diving, or sliding to the ground. Fleming is an ideal slot receiver with quickness and strong hands. Florida, Florida State, Penn State, and Texas are some schools Fleming mentioned that he communicates with on a regular basis.

2023 CB Cormani McClain

Lakeland (Fla.) Lake Gibson Five-star Plus+ cornerback Cormani McClain looks like that perfect cornerback. He is every bit of 6-1, he has very long arms, he is twitchy, and he plays with confidence. On Saturday, he was not tested too much because he stayed tight with his receiver. He is going to be one of the most coveted prospects in this class due to his size, his position, and his potential. Schools like Alabama, BYU, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, and Oregon are some of the ones McClain named that are recruiting him hard.

2023 DB Conrad Hussey

Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas athlete Conrad Hussey is a prospect that jumped out Saturday. The junior has played a lot of offense growing up, but has made the move to safety, and he made his share of plays over the weekend. Hussey added offers from Coastal Carolina, Florida State, and Georgia Tech in January taking his total to nine. He is a prospect that could up more steam in the spring.

2024 WR Jeremiah Smith

Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna sophomore wide receiver Jeremiah Smith was making play after play Saturday. He used his size to win jump balls, he showed the speed to get behind corners, and he really tracked the ball well. He picked up an offer from Alabama Friday and he is expected to be a national recruit. Outside of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Miami, and Ohio State are schools Smith listed as schools on his radar.

2024 WR Joshisa Trader

Miami Central sophomore Joshisa Trader plays more wide receiver, but he could be an athlete. He has shown great ability at cornerback as well. He even threw a 30 yard completion from the quarterback position Saturday. Trader just makes plays. Close to 20 schools have offered. He visited Miami in January and he will be back this spring. Ohio State is a school Trader is high on early too.
