Benjamin Brahmer injury update: Iowa State TE carted off after collapsing on the field following hit

A scary situation unfolded in Ames on Saturday as Iowa State tight end Benjamin Brahmer collapsed on the field against Arizona State. Brahmer took a hard hit in the fourth quarter and initially got up but appeared to be stumbling as he tried to make his way to the sidelines.
The Cyclones tight end eventually fell to the ground as trainers rushed to his side. He appeared motionless and was eventually carted off the field for further evaluation. It was later reported that he was taken to Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames as a precaution, but was awake and alert.

Brahmer is in his third season with the Cyclones after being named BIg 12 Honrable Mention each of the past two years. He was also named a freshman All-American according to multiple outlets in 2023.
So far this season, Brahmer had accumulated 29 catches for 317 yards and three touchdowns. Iowa State went on to lose 24-19 against Arizona State on Saturday to fall to 5-4 (2-4 Big 12) on the season.
