Brett McMurphy's college football AP Top 25 ballot after Week 5

Ohio State, with an impressive victory at Washington, remains No. 1 on my Associated Press ballot this week. But after the Buckeyes, there were multiple changes near the top.
Oregon moved up to No. 2 with a double OT win at Penn State, followed by Miami at No. 3 and Ole Miss shoots up to No. 4, by downing LSU. Texas A&M climbed into my Top 5 after defeating Auburn.
New to my ballot this week are Virginia, Arizona State, Illinois and BYU. Falling out of my Top 25 this week: USC, Mississippi State, TCU and Utah.
My Top 25 ballot after Week 5:
1. Ohio State (4-0)
The Buckeyes handled their first road test of the season, knocking off Washington 24-6 and ending the Huskies’ 22-game home winning streak. Quarterback Julian Sayin threw for 208 yards with two TD passes and no interceptions. Wide receiver Jeremiah Smith had nine receptions for 81 yards, including an 18-yard TD.
2. Oregon (5-0)
The Ducks won at Penn State 30-24 in 2 OTs. Oregon dominated the Nittany Lions, outgaining Penn State 424 to 276. Quarterback Dante Moore threw for 248 yards and three touchdowns. Dierre Hill rushed for 82 yards on only 10 carries. The Ducks once again scored at least 30 points for a national-best 30th time in their last 33 games.
3. Miami (4-0)
The Hurricanes, who were off last week, finally play their first road game of the season, traveling to Florida State. It is Miami’s fifth consecutive game played in the state of Florida.
4. Ole Miss (5-0)
The Rebels were dominating in a 24-19 win against LSU. Ole Miss nearly doubled the Tigers offensively, outgaining the Tigers 480-254. Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss had almost 400 yards of total offense, throwing for 314 yards and rushing for 71.
5. Texas A&M (4-0)
The Aggies outlasted Auburn 16-10. The Aggies rolled up 414 yards and held the Tigers to only 177 yards. Running back Le’Veon Moss rushed for 139 yards, and quarterback Marcel Reed added 207 yards passing. Texas A&M had scored at least 40 points in each of its first three games until it only scored 16 vs. Auburn.
6. Oklahoma (4-0)
The Sooners, who were off last week, will host Kent State on Saturday without QB John Mateer, who underwent hand surgery. The Sooners are hoping Mateer can return in two weeks for the Red River Rivalry against Texas in Dallas.
7. Georgia (3-1)
The Bulldogs’ 33-game home winning streak was snapped by nemesis Alabama, which defeated the Bulldogs for the 10th time in their last 11 meetings. Running back Chauncey Bowens had a game-high 119 yards rushing and a TD. Quarterback Gunner Stockton was held to only 130 yards passing.
