Ohio State remains as the No. 1 team on my Associated Press Top 25 ballot this week. My top seven from last week – Ohio State, LSU, Georgia, Penn State, Miami, Texas and Oregon – all remain the same this week.

Oklahoma climbed into my Top 10 after disposing of Michigan, while there were several newcomers after a rash of upsets impacted Top 25 teams.

New to my ballot this week are South Florida, Mississippi State and Missouri. Falling out of my Top 25 were Florida, SMU and Arizona State.

My Top 25 ballot after Week 2:

1. Ohio State (2-0)

Unlike several other ranked teams on Saturday, the Buckeyes didn’t have any letdown issues in a 70-0 rout of Grambling. Julian Sayin (306 yards passing), RB Bo Jackson (108 yards rushing) and WR Jeremiah Smith (five catches, 119 yards, two TDs) took advantage of this massive mismatch. Up next for the Buckeyes is Ohio, followed by an open date. The Buckeyes then begin Big Ten play Sept. 27 at Washington.

2. LSU (2-0)

The Tigers took care of business in a 23-7 win against Louisiana Tech. Garrett Nussmeier passed for 237 yards and a TD. Barion Brown (94 yards receiving) and Aaron Anderson (73 yards) each had eight receptions. The Tigers pitched a shutout until the Bulldogs scored in the final four minutes. LSU opens SEC play at home Saturday against Florida.

3. Georgia (2-0)

Perhaps peeking ahead to their SEC opener at Tennessee this week, the Bulldogs looked lethargic in a 28-6 win against Austin Peay. QB Gunner Stockton threw for 227 yards as the Bulldogs overcame two lost fumbles. Georgia’s defense, which has allowed only 13 points in its two wins, will be tested Saturday in Knoxville.

4. Penn State (2-0)

The Nittany Lions blanked FIU 34-0, shaking off a slow start to pull away in the second half. Penn State QB Drew Allar completed 19 of 33 for 200 yards and two TDs. Kaytron Allen (144 yards) and Nick Singleton (76 yards) combined for 220 yards rushing. The Nittany Lions close their non-conference schedule with another cupcake Saturday, facing FCS member Villanova. Penn State begins Big Ten play Sept. 27 at Oregon.

5. Miami (2-0)

The Hurricanes continued their impressive start by blasting Bethune-Cookman 45-3. QB Carson Beck completed his first 15 passes, breaking Vinny Testaverde’s school record, and finished 22 of 24 for 264 yards and two TDs. Dating back to last season when he was at Georgia, Beck has gone 185 consecutive passes without an interception. On Saturday, Miami hosts surprising South Florida, coming off consecutive upsets of ranked opponents Boise State and Florida.

6. Texas (1-1)

The Longhorns rebounded from their opening loss to Ohio State with a comfortable 38-7 win vs. San Jose State. QB Arch Manning was 19 of 30 for 295 yards, four TDs and one interception. He also had a 20-yard TD run. WR Parker Livingstone and TE Jack Endries each had two TDs receiving. Texas hosts UTEP and Sam Houston State the next two weeks to close out its non-conference schedule.

7. Oregon (2-0)

If the Ducks aren’t the best team money can buy, they certainly played like it, waxing Oklahoma State 69-3. QB Dante Moore threw for 266 yards and three TDs as the Ducks amassed 631 yards of offense and topped 30 points for a national-best 27th time in their last 30 games. Oregon’s defense did its part, returning two interceptions for touchdowns. The Ducks open Big Ten play Saturday at Northwestern.

8. Florida State (2-0)

The Seminoles rolled to a 77-3 victory against outmanned East Texas A&M. It tied for the largest margin of victory in school history for FSU. QB Thomas Castellanos passed for 237 yards and three TDs as the Seminoles scored on their first 10 possessions. FSU is off this week and hosts Kent State on Sept. 20 in what should be another blood bath.

9. Notre Dame (0-1)

The Fighting Irish, who lost their season opener at Miami, did not play this week. Notre Dame hosts Texas A&M on Saturday in a matchup of Top 15-ranked teams.

10. Oklahoma (2-0)

Behind QB John Mateer, the Sooners defeated Michigan 24-13 in the first meeting between the Sooners and Wolverines in nearly 50 years. Mateer threw for 270 yards and a TD and rushed for 74 yards on 19 carries. Oklahoma visits Temple Saturday.
