CBS Sports reveals updated bowl, College Football Playoff projections following wild Week 8
With more than half of the regular college football season in the rearview, CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm has released his updated bowl projections going into Week 9. The results of Week 8 games weren’t as impactful as those of Week 7, however, several top-25 teams fell, shaking up the postseason picture outside of the College Football Playoff.
Alabama rebounded with a strong 30-6 win over No. 24 Mississippi State. No. 2 Ohio State also won over Iowa, while No. 5 Clemson came back to survive against No. 14 Syracuse.

The biggest loss of the week was No. 7 Ole Miss falling to LSU. Additionally, No. 8 TCU defeated No. 17 Kansas State in one Big 12 matchup between ranked teams, while No. 11 Oklahoma State defeated No. 20 Texas 41-34 in the other.
The pivotal Pac-12 matchup between No. 10 Oregon and No. 9 UCLA resulted in a 45-30 victory for the Ducks.
