Former Coastal Carolina quarterback Blake Boda will transfer to play for Arkansas in 2024, he announced Tuesday via X. Boda spent just one season with the Chanticleers and will have four years of eligibility remaining.

The 6-foot-4 quarterback appeared in only three games as a true freshman to take a redshirt year. He completed his only pass of the season for 14 yards against Texas State on Nov. 11.

As a recruit, Boda was a three-star prospect out of Seabreeze High School in Daytona Beach, Florida. He chose to attend Coastal Carolina over offers from UNLV, South Florida, Missouri State and others.

Blake Boda will join an Arkansas quarterback room that brought in one other transfer this offseason. Former Boise State quarterback Taylen Green enters with high expectations after throwing for 243 yards and three touchdowns in the spring game. He’ll compete with Boda, Malachi Singleton and true freshman KJ Jackson for the starting job.

Arkansas has so far added 16 players through the transfer portal while losing 34. The Razorbacks are rated No. 33 overall and No. 8 in the SEC according to On3’s Transfer Portal Team Rankings.
