College Football Announcer Schedule: Broadcasters for notable Week 6 games

The calendar flipped to October, and Week 6 of the 2025 season has arrived. All eyes will be on a crowded afternoon window, and the full college football announcer schedule is out.

Six of On3’s Top 10 games to watch will be in the 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. ET windows. That includes the rematch between Vanderbilt and Alabama, which will have ESPN’s College GameDay in attendance and is considered one of the top games on the docket.

Of course, there’s also Texas at Florida as Arch Manning and DJ Lagway square off for the first time, as well as the in-state showdown between Miami and Florida State on Saturday’s slate. Here is the college football announcer schedule, according to data compiled by 506Sports.

Vanderbilt at Alabama

Date/Time: Oct. 4, 3:30 p.m. ET
Channel: ABC
Announcers: Sean McDonough, Greg McElroy

Sean McDonough and former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy will have the call as Vanderbilt heads to Tuscaloosa to take on the Crimson Tide. The Commodores got the win in last year’s stunning upset, and quarterback Diego Pavia told On3’s Chris Low they could bring home a victory again if they “play [their] game.”

Texas at Florida

Channel: ESPN
Announcers: Bob Wischusen, Louis Riddick

Two of the top preseason quarterbacks in the SEC, both Arch Manning and DJ Lagway are looking to right the ship after up-and-down starts to the year. ESPN will have the matchup between Texas and Florida with Bob Wischusen and Louis Riddick in the booth.

Virginia at Louisville

Announcers: Mike Monaco, Kirk Morrison

A suddenly intriguing matchup awaits at Louisville as Virginia comes to down fresh off a thrilling upset win over Florida State last time out. The Cardinals, meanwhile, takes a 4-0 record into the game fresh off a comeback win over Pitt last week.

Washington at Maryland

Date/Time: Oct. 4, 3:30 p.m. ET
Channel: Big Ten Network
Announcers: Guy Haberman, Jake Butt

Two up-and-coming Big Ten quarterbacks will battle it out in College Park on Saturday as Washington makes the cross-country trip to take on Maryland. Demond Williams will look to help the Huskies bounce back from a loss to Ohio State while Malik Washington is trying to continue his strong start to his freshman year with the Terrapins.

Boise State at Notre Dame

Following a blowout win at Arkansas last week, Notre Dame returns home looking to keep the offense rolling with Boise State coming to South Bend. The regular Fighting Irish broadcast team of Dan Hicks – fresh off Ryder Cup coverage – and Jason Garrett will be on the call for NBC.

Michigan State at Nebraska

Another intriguing Big Ten matchup will see Michigan State go up against Nebraska. The Spartans are trying to rebound from a loss at USC prior to the bye while Dylan Raiola and the Cornhuskers suffered a close loss to Michigan before their bye week.

Texas Tech at Houston

A battle of undefeated Big 12 teams awaits on Saturday as Houston welcomes in-state rival Texas Tech. it’s part of the primetime window for ESPN, which will have Dave Pasch and Dusty Dvoracek on the call for the 7 p.m. kickoff.

Miami at Florida State

The biggest game in the primetime window, Florida State will take on Miami in an important ACC matchup. The Seminoles suffered the surprising upset loss at Virginia last time out while the Hurricanes are looking to stay undefeated as they come out of the bye.

Minnesota at Ohio State

NBC’s B1G Saturday Night game features Minnesota taking on Ohio State at The Horseshoe. The Buckeyes took down Washington in Seattle last time out as running back Bo Jackson broke out, while the Golden Gophers came away with a 31-28 win over Rutgers last week behind a huge performance from Drake Lindsey.

Mississippi State at Texas A&M

Another key SEC game will take place in a great environment at Kyle Field as Texas A&M takes on Mississippi State. The Bulldogs suffered their first loss of the year in overtime last week against Tennessee while the Aggies remained undefeated by taking down Auburn.
