College Football Playoff: Fourth Official 2025 Projected 12-Team CFP Bracket
With the final regular season games looming, the fourth College Football Playoff rankings have been revealed. That also means the latest projected 12-team CFP bracket is set, based on the new Top 25.
The top teams held onto their spots following Week 13, meaning the projected first-round byes are still in tact. There were some notable results throughout the country, though, and it led to some movement farther down the rankings.
That sets the stage for a huge Week 14 slate with rivalry matchups throughout the week. Here is the projected 12-team CFP bracket following the fourth College Football Playoff rankings reveal.
First-round byes
No. 1 Ohio State*
Following another dominant victory – even without Carnell Tate and Jeremiah Smith – Ohio State held strong at No. 1 in the rankings. The Buckeyes took down Rutgers in Week 13 to stay undefeated on the season.
This week, though, The Game awaits. A trip to Michigan is on tap Saturday afternoon as Ohio State tries to not only take down its bitter rival, but clinch a spot in the Big Ten Championship.
No. 2 Indiana

After a bye week, Indiana stayed put at No. 2 in the College Football Playoff rankings. The Hoosiers haven’t missed a beat in Year 2 under Curt Cignetti and take plenty of momentum into this week’s season finale against Purdue.
Fernando Mendoza also continues to make a case for the Heisman Trophy as the leader of IU’s undefeated season. A win on Saturday would send the Hoosiers to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Championship next week.
No. 3 Texas A&M*
Texas A&M took a break from SEC play as Samford came to Kyle Field. The Aggies flexed their muscle once again in one final tuneup before the season finale and stayed at No. 3 in the College Football Playoff rankings as a result.
Friday, the Lone Star Showdown awaits. Texas A&M will head to Austin to take on rival Texas in one of the most anticipated rivalry games on the Week 14 slate.
No. 4 Georgia
Also taking a break from SEC play in Week 13, Georgia took on Charlotte last time out. The Bulldogs had no trouble en route to the 35-3 win and remained the No. 4-ranked team in the College Football Playoff rankings heading into Week 14 as a result.
A rivalry game is next up on the schedule this week to close out the season. The Clean, Old Fashioned Hate game is in Atlanta as Georgia takes on a Georgia Tech team hoping to keep playing through the ACC Championship and CFP.
First-round matchups (campus sites)
No. 12 Tulane* at No. 5 Texas Tech*

Once again appearing in the projected 12-team College Football Playoff bracket, Tulane is hoping to seal an American Conference title game bid. The Green Wave are 9-2 entering Week 14 and look to be in prime position to be the G6 representative.
Following a Week 13 bye, Texas Tech held strong at No. 5 in the College Football Playoff rankings. That means the Red Raiders are still in prime position to host a first-round game and can further increase those chances with this week’s game against West Virginia on the docket.

No. 11 Miami* at No. 6 Oregon
The highest-ranked ACC team, Miami cracks the 12-team College Football Playoff bracket as the projected conference champion heading into Week 14. The Hurricanes need some help to make it to Charlotte, but are in position to snag a bid in the field heading into a Week 14 matchup against a Pitt team also in the hunt for the ACC Championship.
In a battle of old Pac-12 rivals, Oregon got the better of USC to stay squarely in the College Football Playoff picture. The Ducks head into their season finale against Washington in position to host a first-round game, based on the projected 12-team CFP bracket.
No. 10 Alabama at No. 7 Ole Miss
A resounding victory over Eastern Illinois last week helped Alabama shake off a home loss to Oklahoma and keep the Crimson Tide in the College Football Playoff picture. Kalen DeBoer’s group can further increase its chances of making the 12-team bracket by getting an Iron Bowl victory at Auburn in Week 14.
Plenty of eyes are on Ole Miss heading into Week 14, and this week’s Egg Bowl is drawing intrigue for multiple reasons. The Rebels could virtually seal a trip to the College Football Playoff with a win over Mississippi State – but the conversation will quickly return to Lane Kiffin’s future, no matter the result.
No. 9 Notre Dame at No. 8 Oklahoma

It didn’t take long for Notre Dame to showcase its strength against Syracuse, and the Irish came away with a historic 70-7 victory over the Orange in the process. Marcus Freeman’s group is still in the mix for the College Football Playoff, needing a win against Stanford this week to further increase the chances of making the field.
Oklahoma got another big win last time out, taking down Missouri in Norman in Week 13. The Sooners will close things out against LSU on Saturday with an opportunity to punch their ticket to the College Football Playoff.
